Prompt: 'Faye tells Cassie she has feelings for her, ultimately embarrassed about it'

My fill:

"…and fuck knows why I like you, all you do is complain and bitch…"

"Wait…what?" Cassie was suddenly downright confused by the way her conversation with Faye was heading. Moments ago the brunette in question had been yelling at her about being uptight and boring and now she was saying that she actually liked her. When Faye merely continued to ramble angrily about her fault annoying faults, Cassie raised her voice slightly to be heard "Faye, wait. Back up for a minute. What did you just say?"

"…What?"

"You said you like me." Cassie explained, well aware that Faye probably didn't recall saying that thanks to her anger fuelled rant "Why did you say that?"

Faye fell silent for the first time since she had started arguing with Cassie, her expression beyond alarmed.

"Faye?"

"I didn't."

"Yes, you did. I heard you."

"I don't like you."

"But you just said that you do." Cassie said in confusion "So do you like me or do you hate me? Because I was sure it was the latter until a couple of minutes ago."

"Why does it have to be one or the other?" Faye asked, hoping to distract Cassie from the situation at hand to save herself from further embarrassment "There is such thing as a grey area you know."

"So you do like me?" Cassie questioned, refusing to allow the conversation to shift "In what way? In a friend way or…another way?"

"In no way at all."

"But you just said…"

"I think you're hot. That's all." Faye interrupted with a casual shrug "And you're kind of bearable when you're not bitching about everything."

"Oh…Okay." Cassie said, a small smile tugging at her lips "So what you mean is that you have feelings for me?"

"No….yes." Faye answered, a slight blush creeping her cheeks "I guess."

"So then you wouldn't mind if I kissed you?" Cassie asked, rather enjoying the effect she was having on Faye. Needless to say the bashfulness the brunette was displaying was out of character, though Cassie was struck by the thought that it was a pleasant type of out of character behaviour as opposed to a weird kind.

"…What?"

Instead of answering verbally, Cassie leaned forward and kissed the rebellious brunette firmly. Her previous questions were quickly answered when Faye immediately deepened the kiss and pulled her closer.

THE END.
