This is just a small drabble/one shot thing that I came up with- nothing elaborate.

For those who are wondering where the hell the story "I'm Not Blind" went, it got deleted by Fanfiction and I couldn't be bothered to put it back up again. That and the lack of inspiration and writing material that my brain couldn't come up with. I might put it back up again but it'll be a long time before I'll write any new chapters.

HIM, HER, SHE

Mouri Ran.

.

.

He knew her before he could even walk.

He knew they would be best friends ever since their first day at kindergarten when she was the only one who went along with his curious snoopings.

He knew everything about her— even down to the most embarrassing detail where her face would look like a ripe tomato.

.

.

But she doesn't know him.

.

.

She doesn't know that he hates being called detective geek and freak.

She doesn't know what his favourite Sherlock story is even after the umpteenth times that he has told her.

She doesn't know that he hates being pestered at crime scenes when he's trying to piece evidence together to catch the culprit.

.

He knows that she's not interested in Sherlock and the slightest sight of blood freaks her out.

They are the polar opposites of each other, like puzzle pieces that don't quite fit;

.

But still— he likes her.

.

Whether it's by choice or circumstance, he's not sure, but for him, she's the one; he's sure of it.

.

.

Until he met her.

.

.

She calmly walked into his life as if it were only natural that a detective and criminal should work together.

.

Her sarcasm and cynicism annoyed and frustrated him until he realised that she was just scared and hurt.

.

She made him realise that black could be white and white isn't necessarily always pure.

.

Slowly, he discovered that for a supposed cold-hearted scientist, she sure had a soft spot for animals.

Slowly, he discovered that she didn't mind crime scenes and had interest in helping him solve murders.

.

Slowly, he realised that they were the perfect partners in crime.

Slowly, he began to notice the frequent glances she tossed towards him when she thought he wasn't looking.

.

.

And that made him nervous.

.

.

When she laughed, his mood lit up and sank at the same time because it was not directed at him.

When she cried, he wanted to cry with her and tear down who ever made her feel that way in the first place.

When she was shot on the rooftop, he wanted to put a bullet to his head and just be done with everything.

.

.

He realised, that these thoughts went deeper than one would have for a partner.

It went deeper than what he had with Ran.

.

Deeper.

.

.

And Deeper.

.

.

.

So deep that he didn't want to face it.

And that's it!

Hope you guys liked it! I know it's really short but I suck at writing long stuff.

And if you can review then that would be great! (It'll make me very happy :3)
