Apprentice

Raven woke up early on a Monday morning in late August. She wanted to make sure she was prepared for the day. Today was her first day of actual public school. Technically, since she was 16, she was a junior. The others, though they were older than her, were juniors too. They had all wanted to be in the same grade. Her skills, while they exceeded the average expectations in some subjects, lacked in others. She would greatly surpass other students in classes like literature, but she would have trouble in classes like geography. She hadn't lived on Earth her whole life, so it wasn't like she knew it inside out. It was her idea to go to school, followed by Beastboy, Robin, and Starfire. Cyborg didn't have to and didn't need to go, since he already had the smarts he needed. Plus someone had to look after the tower during the day. It all worked out. The only trouble was their debate on whether they would be disguised. Robin didn't want to take off his mask, and Beastboy didn't want to have to do something about his green skin. In the end they decided not to wear their uniforms at school, but not have secret identities either. In other words, they wouldn't try to hide or enforce the fact that they were the teen titans. Raven saw this as a way to show herself as she really was, and not as the stereotype she was assumed to be.

Robin woke at 6 am sharp. He cooked a quick breakfast, showered and was completely ready at 6:30. That gave him some time to pace. He had already paced his room the night before, worrying about what would go wrong. He wasn't worried about his school work. It was something else that was troubling him. Maybe he would talk to his friends on the way to school, just to get it off of his chest.

Starfire woke at 6 as well. Her room was a mess from the bags of clothing she had ripped apart to find what she would wear on the first day of school. She didn't have time to eat because she spent so much time doing other things. Luckily she knew that the school had a breakfast bar. But thinking about that got her worked up about how the other students would be and eventually she had to change her clothes and hair.

Beastboy woke up at 7 am. He had forgotten to set an alarm, which didn't surprise the others when he explained it to them after they woke him up by slamming on his door. He would be having the school breakfast as well.

Cyborg took one look at them as they passed him to leave while he ate breakfast. Four kids on their first day of school. He couldn't miss this opportunity.

"I can't believe my babies are all grown up and on their way to school!" cyborg wailed in his motherly voice as he came up to them with his arms outstretched. "Give mommy a hug." They all dodged him and headed out quickly. "Just remember if you get scared, come home right away and I'll bake you some cookies!" cyborg waved goodbye as they headed out towards Jump High. Ready for a new challenge.

Okay what should happen to them at school? What should they have trouble with? How are they with being social? I need some advice here.
