I've got this idea because someone thinks the current Ant-Man and Cassie shouldn't lock horns every time they meet. I don't quite like the idea, so why don't be a buzzkiller?

I don't own any character, sadly!

Way to go, Idiot!

[Have you seen Cassie? I have lost sight of her some minutes ago, while I was talking to Jocasta.]

Clint cocked his thumb towards a door.

"I think I saw her going there, Vizh. But maybe you'd want to wait a while; I saw... Ant-Man" the disgust with which he said that name demonstrated how he felt towards O'Grady, "going there. Guess he wanted to set things clear with her!"

Vision's face showed some tinge of annoyance that only years of hanging around with the former Vision allowed Hawkeye to notice.

[Well, I hope they come to some sort of understanding. The situation has remained tense too long, and...]

But he was interrupted by a loud grunt of pain, coming right from the room. All conversation died down, and all the Avengers stared with confusion and perplexity etched over their faces.

A loud thump, and another pained grunt. And another. And another.

Just as Speed was about to suggest they go and check it out, the door burst open, making everyone jump. But even more scary, was the fury that every square inch of Cassie's face was emanating, her fist closed tightly, and her eyes blazing.

She stormed out of the room, shoving brutally Tommy out of the way when he failed to sidestep swiftly enough. The banging of the slammed door seemed to shake the whole Mansion.

A moan turned their attention from the door to the room. They saw Eric crawling pitifully out of the room : he wasn't wearing his helmet anymore, but he wore an A-grade black eye, a broken tooth, and judging by the way he was clutching his privates, he was presently feeling very sorry for them.

Steve Rogers sighed and offered his hand to their wounded comrade.

"Eric, we have had our fair share of less-than-respectable members over the years, but I thought you'd be smarter than that! Cassie can have quite a temper when someone shows a bad mouth for Scott."

He rubbed carefully his jaw, shooting a pathetic glare. "Didn't say anything bad about her daddy!"

"Then why did she hit you?" Kate asked, frowning.

Eric started to mumble something, but in that exact second, they realized that Vision had silently reached his angry girlfriend out in the garden just because he came back not caring one bit about quiet. His face was a mask of pure rage as he went for Ant-Man.

A neurocynetic hand lifted the reformed ex-Thunderbolt in the air. Struggling for air, he whimpered when pierced by Vision's robotic glare.

[You try to kiss her again,] Vision said in a dangerously mechanical way, not caring about the surprised (and angered) expressions that blossomed about, [I'll administer you more pain than you ever thought possible! Am I clear?] For a second, Eric's frantic nodding didn't have effect, then Vision let him go. Then, he turned around and again went out the room.

For a moment Ant-Man enjoyed the renewed sensation of free breathing, then as he reopened his eyes his heart stopped for a bit as he saw all the faces glaring at him, the most benevolent with blatant disapproval, and the most malignant with murderous intensity. But the scariest was Rogers' : he put an arm around Eric's shoulders, and with lethal cheerfulness he spoke.

"Maybe it's time we had another chat, you and me..."
