Chapter 4
I awoke in the middle of the night to a loud crash in the kitchen. My radio had turned off sometime in the night and flashed bright blue letters at me. "2:12" it read. I sighed and sunk back into bed, probably Mom, looking for a mid-night snack. Then I heard my door crack. Mom normally never came into my room. My heart thud at a million miles an hour in my chest. It slowly opened more and something moved into my room. "Mom?" I said. It didn't reply. I sat up. "Mom?" I said slightly louder than before. Something then came down over my head and clamped over my mouth. I screamed through it, but it was muffled. The cloth over my head had a strong chemical scent. It held against my nose and mouth. I panicked and flailed. Then everything started to go fuzzy. I was swallowed into a dark tunnel.
