Dolph Ziggler sucks in a deep breath when he stumbles backstage, laughing to himself as he makes his way towards the locker room, brushing his long hair out of his eyes. It's only just within sight, Dolph instinctively turning to glance into catering to see who might all be in there, when warm arms wrap around him and stops his forward momentum, Ziggler chuckling faintly as he leans back into the touch. "Hey, kid."

"Hey, bro," Zack mutters, kissing his forehead. "Congrats on winning the match. One of the techs wanted me to tell you they wanna interview you for the website in a little bit."

"Of course," he murmurs back, tilting his head until Zack's lips brush against his, smirking. "Thanks for letting me know. Meet you after it? Maybe we can get Miz to take us to his dad's sandwich shop."

Zack blinks, pulling away. "Do you think he'd really wanna take you anywhere considering you just beat him, bro?"

Dolph shrugs. "Sure, who wouldn't want to? That alone should make him feel better." Zack rolls his eyes slightly as Ziggler laughs, the two of them shifting so they can walk side by side to where the interview's going to be held, their hands lightly brushing as they move down the hall. "Not buying it, huh?"

"Not really, bro. I'm sure we could find somewhere to eat, though." Zack glances over at the cameramen as they prepare to capture the interview with Ziggler, still smirking. "So I'm wondering one thing, though."

"Hm, what?"

"Now that you've won the battle of Cleveland, does that make you, like, mayor or what?" Ziggler freezes and looks up at him as he chuckles unabashedly, eyes shining. "What, bro?"

"You're ridiculous," he mutters, leaning in and kissing him. "Come on, you can watch my interview from over here-" He's got him by the wrist, leading him over to a spot out of range of the cameras, when Zack tugs back, pulling Dolph into him.

"Well, do you get a key to the city or something?" he inquires, hovering close to him with an even brighter smile than before. "Can I have a copy of it?" Dolph laughs slightly, shaking his head when he pushes him back, moving to join the interviewer to get this show on the road. He's barely halfway there when Zack calls out, "I wanna be your chief of staff, bro! I was a really good assistant GM for Smackdown, just ask Teddy Long!"

Dolph bites his lips, trying desperately not to laugh and risk encouraging the broski to think of something else to dwell on as everyone in the area looks at him curiously, wondering what exactly Zack's going on about now. "C'mon, let's do this thing," he tells the techs lurking around, waiting for the go ahead on the interview. He's actually not that surprised when first Miz interrupts, then Zack himself, somehow getting Mike to agree to take them both to his dad's sandwich shop after all.

It's odd, eating with the man who he'd just beat less than an hour ago- at his father's sandwich shop, no less- but when he looks over at Zack, taking in how happy he looks, it makes every awkward moment up to this point more than worth it. I wouldn't trade this for anything, even being mayor of Cleveland, he smirks, leaning back while sipping from his drink.
