And when it rains
On this side of town it touches everything
Just say it again and mean it
We don't miss a thing

Sitting quietly on the roof of the building was Cloud. He came up here every time he wanted to think peacefully. Staring out over the city of Midgar, he let his thoughts drift to Vincent and where he could be now. A breeze came through and moved his bans out of his face. "...Vincent..." He murmured, having not seen the man since the war on Deepground.

You made yourself a bed
At the bottom of the blackest hole
And convinced yourself that it's not the reason
You don't see the sun anymore

Cloud felt a small fear cross him. "Did you end up like them...?" He muttered, thinking back on Zack and Aerith. He sighed, looking up at the sky with his mako blue eyes. Lost in thought, he didn't notice the sound of footsteps walking up to him. Once he recognized someone was coming he closed his eyes, taking in the moments of quiet between each step.

And oh, oh, how could you do it?
Oh I, I never saw it coming
Oh, oh, I need the ending
So why can't you stay just long enough to explain?

Opening his eyes, he saw a glimpse of red fabric drape over his shoulder. He looked at its tattered end and smiled. "So your still here..." Cloud said, resting his hand over the piece of cloth. "Of course...you don't think I'd leave you here, especially without saying goodbye first?" He heard a small chuckle come from the man beside him.

And when it rains
Will you always find an escape?
Just running away
From all of the ones who love you
From everything

"No...I knew you wouldn't." Cloud smiled, something he hadn't done in a long time. "Where'd you go?" He asked quietly, gripping onto Vincent's cape. The raven put a hand over the other's. "I didn't go anywhere...I've been hanging around in the shadows as usual...I guess you just didn't bother to look, huh?" The elder man said, looking down at the blonde.

You made yourself a bed
At the bottom of the blackest hole
And you'll sleep 'til May and you'll say
That you don't want to see the sun anymore

Cloud felt his eyes water. "Vincent...you know how I get...I can't look off to the side without seeing them too..." He murmured, looking up to the crimson eyes staring back at him. Vincent nodded, sitting down beside the blonde. Cloud looked down off the building. He smiled, remembering he'd been thrown to the top by the rest of his friends. "Happy memories?" Vincent asked, putting an arm around the younger. Cloud nodded.

And oh, oh, how could you do it?
Oh I, I never saw it coming
Oh, oh, I need the ending
So why can't you stay just long enough to explain?

Cloud smiled, his eyes dropping crystal clear tears onto the cape that fluttered into his lap. Vincent watched curiously. "Why're you crying, Cloud?" He asked, using his cape to wipe the falling tears. "I'm just being really nostalgic today..." Cloud sighed, leaning into the raven's touch. "You can be so confusing...you know." Vincent said, tightly hugging the blonde.

Take your time
Take my time
Take these chances to turn it around
Just take these chances
We'll make it somehow

Cloud returned the hug, resting his forehead on the raven's shoulder. "I know..." The blonde smiled, chuckling softly. Vincent found himself smiling with the younger. "But...I guess that's why I have such strong feelings for you..." He said, kissing the blonde's cheek. Cloud blushed lightly, nuzzling the elder's neck. "Well...Im glad..." Cloud said, kissing the raven lightly.

And take these chances to turn it around
Just turn it around

With that, the two remained in each others arms until nightfall.

You can take your time
Take my time
