Disclaimer: I salute thee, Angela. Also, the idea of this one comes from my roommate.
Rating: PG. Again. I'll have to bring this to the attention of management.
A/N: Slightly less bah humbug. Slightly. No idea how this fits into the movie-verse, but ah well. Happy holidays, guys.
Flying Flirtation, Batman!
"You want me to build what?"
"You heard me."
Lucy raised a perfectly sculpted, bushy brow at her partner-in-crime. "Unless you can't, that is."
Scud scoffed, then scoffed again for good measure. "Can't- You wound me. The question isn't a matter of ability, but rather why."
The brunette's dark fringe was growing in, but it did nothing to hamper the wordless, pointed glare toward him for daring to ask.
"Alright, fine. Keep your secrets. Sap."
Thanks to her warning growl, Scud just managed to scamper out of the room before a pillow flew past.
"Make sure it's ready on time!"
"It's like you don't even know me!" He theatrically shouted back before the usual rustle of metal, banging, and clanging started.
"Well?"
Lucy worked the knobs effortlessly, Scud's baby responding perfectly. "Great work. Now I just need to find some…"
Scud handed over the green pièce de resistance before smiling at his boss's unchecked grin. He was tempted to roll his eyes, but it was nice seeing her happy again… even if the cause of that happiness was still slightly questionable.
"Should I warm up the car?"
She cleared her throat, and her grin, before nodding.
The ride was silent and he was left in the car – again. Though this time, it was worth it if only to see her glide his masterpiece up to the second floor, hovering it there until her lady opened the window and laughed before running down, barely stopping to throw on boots and a jacket, and jumping in her arms. And heck if it wasn't cute the way Lucy melted as the Deb looked up at the hovering mistletoe before their make-out session began.
Not that he was watching.
He cleared his own throat, but the smile stayed, all the more voluntarily when Janet's head came out the other second floor window, her features ranging from confusion at the noise to horror upon seeing Amy with Lucy and finally a giddy smile when she noticed him.
Maybe Debs weren't so bad.
