Love song:

[My own dear love, he is strong and bold.
And he cares not what comes after.
His words ring sweet as a chime of gold.
And his eyes are lit with laughter.]

Kurama is walking to school; he knows that Hiei is watching him from the trees. His
eyes glint gold as one of the trees of the alley start shaking and a very annoyed Fire
Demon falls out of it.

[He is jubilant as a flag unfurled –
Oh, a girl, she'd not forget him.]

Kurama is about to start trying to tease Hiei to death when a swarm of girls pass by
and take him with them.

[My own dear love, he is all my world –
And I wish I'd never met him.]

Hiei gets up muttering something about stupid foxes and annoying ningen girls, adding
a few curses here and there. As he walks away he thinks about how, in two days he'll
have to go back to Mukuro. :: I'm glad for that, though, it will give me a break from
all of this:: he looks around at the ningenkai which he so much wanted to leave. But
still, he couldn't shut up the little voice at the back of his mind that asked him "what
about Kurama?"

[My love, he's mad, and my love, he's fleet,
And a wild young wood thing bore him!
The ways are fair to his roaming feet,
And the skies are sunlit for him.]

Hiei is going towards Mukuro's castle; the makai sky is dark and heavy, illuminated
only by random bolts of lightning.

[As sharply sweet to my heart he seems
As the fragrance of acacia.]

Kurama is sitting in math class but his mind is elsewhere. He can't help but think
about the ruby – eyed Fire Demon that captured his heart.

[My own dear love, he is all my dreams –
And I whish he was in Asia.]

Kurama closed the window across from his bed. There was no point in waiting for
him; he wasn't even in this world.
[My love runs by like a day in June,]

A black wind stops in front of Kurama's window.

[ And he makes no friends with sorrows.]

Kurama and Hiei sense each other's presence and are at peace. Both smile, one with
his face and one with his heart.

[He'll tread his galloping rigadoon
In the pathway of the morrows.
He'll live his days where the sunbeams start,
Nor could storm or wind uproot him.]

The wind starts to pick – up and Kurama opens the window so Hiei can enter. Despite
the storm that is blowing outside the room is very quiet and warm.

[My own dear love, he is all my heart –
And I whish somebody'd shoot him.]

Hiei knows that Kurama has finally managed to shatter his last wall and he resented it.
But much in the same way Kurama was an open book to him and he knows that the
proud Yohko resents it as much as he does. Although the Shuuichi side of him
probably enjoys the situation very much. They both know that there is no way to fight
their feeling any more and their thoughts at that moment were identical ::I might as
well be happy::

disclaimers: I don't own YYH or it's characters they all belong to Togashi sama and whoevere else
owns them, the poem was written by Dorothy Parker whom I admire for this beautifully ironic poem
(that I totaly butcherred). I don't make any money from this and whatever I do have I save to
buy anime stuff, so don't sue!
