Lady Kjerstie Chapter 1: "I took a wrong turn somewhere!"
With a haze of light, Kjerstie appeared in a desolate place that she had not intended of being. She looked around for some kind of recognition but found none. What was this place? There were dead trees all around and the sky was a light orange in color. There didn't seem be any living plant life. This place was not like her home on Coloxsix. How in the name of the Lord and Lady did she get here? She gathered up her strength and tried to teleport out of this hellhole but found to her dismay that her teleportation ability was gone, but why? She looked ahead and saw a Labyrinth, with a castle in the center. That was not there before. She decided to look for an entrance, so she took her first steps down the dirt path. After walking for a quarter of a mile, Kjerstie came across a dwarf spraying some kind of poison on various flying things. She wanted to communicate with this dwarf, but was not sure which language he spoke. She listened to him count how many of the flying things he had killed and surmised that he spoke English, a language that Kjerstie knew well. She had learned the language from various trips to Earth's United States of America. Now she could make contact, and find out how to get back to her own world. She very cautiously approached the dwarf and said, "Hello, can you help me?" The dwarf was startled and turned to her. "Who are ye, an what do ye want?" "My name is Kjerstie and I was wondering if you could tell me how I got here? I was teleporting and I ended up here by mistake. Now I can't teleport out of here. Is there anyone that could help me get home?" "There be one I no's of, the Goblin King. If anyone can get ye home it'd be him, but he ain't the kind to be helping strangers. Any one that drops in his kingdom becomes his slave forever." "I am very sure I can handle this Goblin King of yours." No sooner had she said those words that Jareth, the Goblin King appeared, with an amused look on his face. ' More surprises', Kjerstie thought, 'now what?'
