Disclaimer: Naruto is not mine.

There are many forms of blindness.

Sometimes children in Konoha were born blind, and spent their lives being pitied; sometimes nin were blinded in accidents on missions. The most potent form of blindness, however, was neither biological nor accident.

Those who are blinded by their emotions--desperation or lust, or something within the hazy, confusing area between the two--never knew they were blind. Instead, they plunged into foolish contracts, selling their soul to the black-haired devil and his blue-skinned companion in order to regain what was lost.

Naruto was no exception; his eyes worked, but so did his heart.
