Halloween. A fun night, in Xander's book. Walking around to stranger's houses and getting free candy, what could be better? To top it off, he had managed to scrape enough money together to get a fairly decent costume. Xander regarded himself in the mirror, smoothing any creases out of his jacket. With a slight frown, he adjusted the bow tie. It had been a trick to get the damn thing to work but after fiddling with the metal shaping-wires, the tie behaved wonderfully.
Giggling in a very un-Xanderly way, he turned on his heel and almost skipped out of his house to the dark streets of Sunnydale. Halloween was his specialty after all.
He paused as he glanced about this foreign town. Where was The Mayor? And what happened to the fountain and town square? He rubbed at his chin, noticing how fleshy his fingers and face felt. How bizarre. He needed to talk to the doctor about this. But... how to find the Doctor? And, if there was no Doctor, would there be no Sally? This frightened him to no end. How would he get along without his little rag doll?
Something familiar caught his eye. A ghost glided/ran over to him. It was nice seeing something so familiar. And, it seemed, the ghost was happy to see him as well.
"Xander!"
"Why, my dear, I'm sorry to say you are most mistaken. I'm not this Xander character. I'm Jack Skellington, The Pumpkin King at your service." Jack finished this with a deep bow and smile.

Not entirely sure what brought this on. I've always wanted a bow tie like Jack's, by the way. This is my first BtVS fic, so try to be kind. I'm sorry if it's confusing. I had it planned out in my head, and I'm not sure if I got it down on paper well enough. I own not Nightmare Before Christmas or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Cheers lovies!
