Where are you now?

This isn't really that great, just Sam's thoughts as he and Frodo journey to mount doom. This isn't exactly a good poem, so any remotely enjoyable material is purely coincidental. Please review, I need your input. NO SLASH INTENDED.

I look into your mind, but you're just not there,

A great weight is upon your shoulders, and feelings are laid bare.

What ever happened, to the days when we would wander freely, laugh, and sing

Without this horror, of Sauron and his ring.

If I could just go back, past the suffering and the pain,

I know I could do nothing, it would all be in vain.

You know what you must do, and so do I,

I know you are afraid, I can see it in your eyes.

I long to be able to comfort you, to tell you it's alright, that you can just relax

But we both know it's not, and you can't, there's no denying the facts.

And so it ends. That's it, hope you enjoyed it. Pleeaaase review.
