CHAPTER ONE (starclan)
"Bluestar? do you think we should go now?" a white and ginger she cat asked
"Not yet Brightheart, we need to wait for the others..." She breaks off as the bushes rustle. A mangy gray she cat stalks out followed by many other cats. They sit down in a circle around the clearing. It is surrounded by bright green trees and a large puddle sits to one side, it is very clear, reflecting the sky and clouds. A large boulder is in the middle of the clearing.
"I don't know why you had me go collect them." The she-cat hissed as she walked up to Bluestar. Her pelt is bristling and her eyes gleam. It shows that she was very displeased about having to walk the whole of starclan to find the gathered cats.
"You know why, Yellowfang, they will listen to you now we need to find out how we are going to become the cats we dreamed. and how we will remember who we were." Brightheart retorts, her eyes full of understanding, Yellowfang lets her pelt lie flat but she still looks upset.
Bluestar jumps up onto the boulder. All of the cats turn to look at her. A flaming pelt sits next to a gray tabby tom. Their pelts shimmer with the stars.
"I am sure you all know why we are gathered here. If not, it is because we have received a sign that says we must be reborn. However we do not know how it is to be done. Are there any ideas?" Bluestar says, the cats sit down and the air becomes thick with curiosity. Many cats turn to their friends and speak to one another. A few moments later, a silver she-cat raises her tail to speak.
"I have an idea." The silver cat stands up. The gathered cats turn to look at her, her pelt fluffs up in shyness.
"Yes, Silverstream?" Bluestar responded, turning to look at her, her eyes fill with hope.
Silverstream tells the cats her suggestion and they all nod understanding and agreeing. She sits back down and listens to the other cats speak. Mistystar stepped forward.
"I think that's a good idea, Silverstresm." She looked around as a few of the others murmured agreement. "I think it will work. What do you think Bluestar?"
The old ThunderClan leader nodded. "Then it's settled."
"I will become Riverkit," Mistystar mewed. Firestar volunteered to be Flamekit. "What about the rest of you?"
Yellowfang shouldered past Firestar, who stumbled and bumped into the cat beside him. He glares at Yellowfang.
"You do realize that choosing the kits that we will become might not belong in our home Clan?"
Mistystar nodded. "That's a risk we'll have to take."
"What does it matter though? We have all gotten used to being in the same clan nowadays." Firestar adds in, "Besides most of us here had a connection with most of the other clans anyways." The other cats nod in agreement.
Bluestar says that she will be Skykit, then jumps down from the boulder.
"I will be Songkit if you guys don't mind," Cinderpelt speaks up. Yellowfang, who sits next to her, stands up.
Yellowfang reluctantly gave in. "Fine. I'll be Yellowkit," she half-heartedly mews.
"Then I guess I will be Blossomkit," Brightheart says. "Now what do we do?"
At that exact moment, four more cats burst into the clearing, it was Sandstorm, Graystripe, Lionblaze, and Feathertail.
"We want to be reborn as well," Jayfeather demanded, Bluestar purrs in amusement and nods her permission.
"Then I will be Jaykit," he continued, Lionblaze called out Blazekit and Sandstorm claimed Peachkit.
"I would like to be Duskkit," Graystripe mews, standing beside Silverstream.
"Ok, and Feathertail, who will you be?" Bluestar asks.
"Fernkit."
