The cereal killer Christopher Pelant has been on the run for months, nobody, not the F.B.I, knows where he is. People have got to know the compelling murder plot and they start worrying when he will strike the city with yet another terrible murder.

Meanwhile a man, known as Jack Hogins, boards a plane on its way to the tropics. Dr. Hogins is going to find new elements and plant life that he claims will change the history in Forensic science. He gets on board yelling to his lovely wife "I'm king of the lab, don't forget it babe" and takes a seat in the back of the plane.

Weeks later the team at the Jeffersonian is called out to a murder scene, out in the water a body was found floating aimlessly. Dr. Brennan the Jeffersonian's best Forensic Anthropologist identifies the decomposed remains as male in his 30s. To bad Dr. Hogins isn't there to give them time of death.

The remains are then shipped to the Jeffersonian where they will determine they identity of the victim and cause of death.

Only hours later Angela, the Jeffersonian's Forensic artist, works in her office to do a facial re-construction. All goes well in the Jeffersonian until Cam, the boss, hears a scream coming from Angela's office. Cam runs over to check out what is going on. She approaches Angela's office to find her startled on the floor crying. Cam looks up at her screen where the face of the victim always is, but instead of seeing a man who she doesn't know, she sees the face of Jack Hogins.

Cam says "Angela, this could be a mistake... Redo the facial re-construction, we will see where that takes us"
