Some people would say that life was unfair. Being cursed was unfair. Never being able to beat someone was unfair. Having someone hound you for your love day in and day out was unfair. Everything was unfair. Except when life used that unfairness to bring in one of the greatest things of all. Kyo rolled over and stared down at Tohru. His wife, His love. His reason for living the way he did now. It was amazing to look back and know that him being cursed made them meet in the first place. His never beating Yuki made him grow closer to her. Kagura's forced love simply pushed more into her arms and before he knew it, they were together. They were one. She completed the part of him that had been missing since his mother died. It was miraculous.

Tohru sighed as she rolled onto her back and he smiled. This was the only time he could think theses days. Between running the dojo and picking up little Kyoko from her lessons, he barely had time to kiss his wife. His thoughts drifted to his daughter. She was perfect in every way. Her brunette hair with orange streaks and brown eyes speckled with red made everyone seem wary of her at first. She was outspoken like him and even had the same temper. Small but dangerous. He couldn't possibly love her more.

His eyes sought Tohru's stomach and he allowed himself a small grin as he rested his hand on it. Just a few more weeks and Kazuma, his son, would be born. A son. When Tohru had been pregnant with Kyoko, he had expressed his worries that he wouldn't make a good father. Tohru just patted his arm and told him that since he was good with her, he would have very few problems with his children. It had reassured him but he worried once more.

What if his son hated him?

What if his son couldn't stand being his son?

It was mind-boggling. It blew his mind. Then Tohru's hand covered his and he smiled down at her.

"You're supposed to be asleep."

She smiled tiredly. "So are you."

He just nodded and she rubbed his hand.

"You're having doubts again aren't you?"

He nodded. "It's not like Shigure helped my problems any."

The dog had snatched up Kyoko and told her to tell the new baby not to eat leeks or pay attention to Kyo. He had then proceeded to make endless perverted comments about how he had 'knocked up' Tohru. Both men had left the house that day with pounding heads, but with different reasons. Kyoko had thought that grandpa Shigure was very funny but her parents just shared a look saying that not everyone thought the same thing.

" You'll do fine with Kazuma just like you did with Kyoko. I have no worries that you will love your son just as much and spoil him no less. Now, you need your sleep and the boys at the dojo will not be kind tomorrow."

Kyo nodded and settled beside Tohru. As he felt his eyes shutting, he envisioned a boy with Kyoko's hair and eyes but in a martial arts outfit. He felt more relieved than ever.
