Authors Note: Yeah. I haven't updated since last year…. Sorry, but here's a story to make up for it (just a filler until I can finish the chapters to my other stories).

"Big brother…why do the villagers look at me like that?" a small boy asked as he walked next to another boy.

The younger had white hair and dog-ears that protruded from the top of his head. He looked to be about eight, and had golden eyes that sparkled innocently.

His older brother had white hair and pointed ears. He looked around at the glaring and scared villagers. Snorting, he looked at his little brother as they continued to walk.

"Why do you care, Inuyasha? They're just humans. Stupid humans." He added the last statement as a young girl fell in their path. She looked up with scared eyes at Inuyasha.

"I'm sorry!" She scooted back from them.

"Sesshoumaru, what are you doing?" asked Inuyasha as his brother pulled out the long sword that their father had given them.

"Inuyasha…would you shut up?" Sesshoumaru balanced the sword in his palm, watching as it tipped dangerously to one side.

The whole village seemed to be watching, wondering what he was doing. His younger brother had seen Sesshoumaru's feelings towards humans acted out before, and was starting to think he was about to kill the girl.

Suddenly, the whole village gasped as the sword fell point down at the girl.

Sesshoumaru was watching. Right before the blade hit her, he said: "Your leg's bleeding…"

There was another gasp when everyone saw the affect of the blade on her. Her leg healed. The villagers looked at Sesshoumaru.

A young woman said in a small voice: "You healed her with a sword…"

Many of the villagers started whispering about him being a great healer, but Sesshoumaru looked confused, and slightly angry.

"What the…. Inuyasha let me see the sword our father gave you."

Inuyasha handed his brother the sheath, and as he took the sword out, Sesshoumaru swore. "Sonofabi-…Never mind. I always hated your father anyway…"

The girl was looking at him with big eyes. "You're …You're Sesshoumaru, the demon lord."

Everyone stopped dead to look at him.

"Yes, and how would you know that?"

"I'm a Tajiya…in training."

"And let me guess, there's quite a price on my head…"

"Yes there is, but I won't be the one to turn you in to my father."

Sesshoumaru had his eyes locked on the girl. "Who are you?"

"My name is Sango…I'm the daughter of the demon exterminator of this area."

Inuyasha was watching them. He'd never seen his brother spend this long in the company of a human.

It looked like it was killing Sesshoumaru to ask the next question. "Do you know where the…kindergarten is?"

Sango stared at them. "Um…don't you think you're a little…old for that?"

"We're looking for the school thing, okay? I have no clue what…grade we're in. I'm twelve and Inuyasha's eight…so can you help us or not?"

Sango's eyes were bright, and slightly mischievous. "Of course I will. But um…will you help me with something?"

"What?"

"There's this boy who's….not quite right…..And I was wondering if you could…keep him off me."

"Sure."
