this little plot is all mine.
A few weeks after Anakin gets settled at the Jedi Academy…
Anakin stood on a platform overlooking the city of Coruscant. Though he had been here for a few weeks the city still amazed him. He looked up at the stars and slowly smiled. At this height the artificial lights could not block the star's radiance. Though he was surrounded by an unending city he could still see the stars. Even on Tatooine he could always see the stars.
Obi-Wan sensed the presence of his Padawan on a platform he himself used to stand on. They were both dealing with losses. Anakin still missed his mother and
Qui-gon's sudden death still lingered. Obi-Wan's loss of his master still was with him. No healer could remedy their losses.
Obi-Wan walked out on the platform and stood next to Anakin. Anakin had sensed his master's presence and was surprised that his master would stand next to him as an equal.
"Do you need anything Master?"
"No. Do you need anything?"
"I'm fine."
"Are you?"
Anakin looked at Obi-Wan, "do you miss Master Qui-gon?"
"Everyday. But I have his memory. Though the ones we love are parted from us their memory lives on within us. Qui-gon used to stand on this platform with me, just as I am standing with you. He used to tell me 'whenever you are lonely look at the stars and those you want to be close to, will seem as though they are standing beside you.'"
Yoda watched the two of them from a distance from a higher platform. He could see the spirit of Qui-gon put a hand on both Obi-Wan and Anakin's shoulders. Qui-gon looked at Obi-Wan with pride. Obi-Wan could sense his presence but looked at the stars with Anakin.
"Both destinies uncertain," Yoda said to himself, "but connected they are."
The End…for this story at least.
