A Girl Meets World inspired FanFiction

A/N: I wrote this a little bit over a year ago but I never really knew what to do with it, so I decided to turn it into a short poem fic. I really hope you guys enjoy this, feel free to leave your feedback.

"They would yell, they would scream, they were fighting it out. He would hope, He would pray, He was waiting it out. Holding onto a dream, while he watches these walls fall down. Sharp words like knives, they were cutting him down. Shattered glass like the past, it's a memory now Holding onto a dream While he watches these walls fall down. Hey mom, hey dad When did this end? Where did you lose your happiness? I'm here alone inside of this broken home Who's right, who's wrong Who really cares? The fault, the blame, the pain's still there I'm here alone inside of this broken home.." - Broken home, 5 seconds of summer

two years earlier - texas

He paces in his clutter filled room

he tries to focus on picking up his dirty clothes from the floor

but the screams fill up his ragged old house,

though tears threaten to fall from his eyes, he does not let them

it's not until his mother lets out a scream so loud the hairs on the back of his head stand up that he does.

His hands begin to shake and he tries to focus on anything besides their voices

but his mother is now sobbing loudly while his father is yelling profanities,

and gosh he wishes he could go back to a time when they were all happy but it seems like a distant memory.

All, if any, happy moments they had shared faded years ago and all he was left with is this crippling reality.

He can hear glass shattering against the wall and he wants to save his mother, no…he needs to, but as he tries to move his feet are suddenly glued to the floor.

His mother always talked about how strong he was but god he's never felt so weak.

His vision begins to get blurry and suddenly he can feel himself falling,

he's on his knees and he asks himself,

"will it ever end?"
