"This is no way to spend Christmas," Chloe yells as she and Dean run from the pack of crazy zombies following closely and trying to take a chunk out of them.
"Actually," Dean says back as he grabs her arm and pulls her down a dark alleyway, "This is how I spend most Christmases. Shit!" he yells as he sees that he's taken them down a dead end.
"And apparently our last Christmas since ZOMBIES ARE ABOUT TO EAT US!"
Dean tries uselessly to find a way out as the zombies get closer. Chloe moves closer to him and he finally stands in front of her and begins shooting. He runs out of bullets quickly and the zombies are moving closer.
"Do you have any ideas, Dean? Any at all?"
"I'm working on it."
"Work faster, they may be slow, but they'll get here eventually."
Dean scrambles back further when suddenly the zombies stop, clutching their heads in pain before falling to the floor.
"They stopped moving. Are they….dead again?" Chloe asks.
Dean nods, "I think so. Looks like Sam figured out who started it all and cut its head off."
"Nice image. Well, I guess you made it through another Christmas."
He laughs, "You know until you yelled that at me I had completely forgotten."
"Are you serious?" her brown crinkles, "How can you forget Christmas?"
"Well, after my mom died there really wasn't enough money for presents. We were always on the run. Plus demons always like to strike on religious holidays—you know disrupt all that good energy."
"So, it's been, what, twenty years since you had a Christmas?"
"Just about. I don't think Sam even knows what Christmas is like. He used to stay at school through all his holidays."
"That's terrible. We have to fix that. You guys have to stay for Christmas."
Dean makes a face, "What with you and Clark Kent?"
"No," she says as she makes face back, "Clark and his mother are visiting his grandparents for Christmas. My dad is out of the country, Lois is at her family's house and Lex and Lana went away with the baby. So, it's just me…and you and Sam if you want."
"You were going to be alone on Christmas?" Dean asks, his heart sinking at the idea of her being all alone.
She shrugs, "I've been busy at work. I didn't have enough time to travel anywhere so, I ordered in and was going to have a feast today. I've got plenty if you guys want to stay. If you want, don't feel like you have to."
"We'll stay," Dean agrees quickly, "I mean, why not?"
"Okay," Chloe smiles, "Should we get going? Running from zombies really works up an appetite."
"Sure," he says, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and leading her back to the car, "Hey Chloe, do you by any chance have some mistletoe at your place?"
