In the beginnings of the cosmos, the gods played a tremendous game.

They chased a ball across the heavens, hurling thunderbolts and fighting for possession of that divine sphere.

Eventually their game brought them to a planet called Earthdash, where the first great dunk was made. The footprints of the gods carved out the rivers and streams, and the legacy of their game shaped the history of Earthdash, as well as its sister, Mooneyes.

A single sacred stone was split between Earthdash and Mooneyes, inextricably binding the fate of these two sibling worlds together. When the attraction between the two halves the split stone grows so great that it brings Earthdash and Mooneye together, the crisis will doom both worlds, lest the Legend return once again and honor the gods with their game of myth.

This is a story handed down on both Earthdash and Mooneyes, a prophecy which serves to keep the people of both worlds vigilant and ready to combat the crisis whenever it returns, to revive the Legend and honor the gods.

As stories get passed on, however, some parts are changed or forgotten. And as the people of Earthdash and Mooneyes were destined to learn, a very important chapter of this story has been forgotten:

There are times when the gods of yore sport with mortals.
