Dark. Malicious creatures were sprawled on the floor below, slouching in their thick, black blood. Restrained groans of agony resonated in the empty apartment. The screeching cries of the damned called out to the shadows. Silent Hill.
A piercing shriek filled the silence as a strange masked beast entered the room. He dragged the sword along the floor, struggling to walk with a leviathan triangular visor engulfing his facial features. Spear-sized holes punctured the sides of the helmet, and groans filtered through.
The mutant body that was once a nurse was held lifelessly in his other hand, an endless flow of blood dripping to the floor from its open organs. Pyramid head.
He grew tired of the dead body in his hand and let it slip from between his fingers, glancing down at it as it silently squirmed even though deceased. With a slight grumble his head turned swiftly towards the sound.
James, down below on the ground floor of the apartment, quietly slipped through the door. He flinched as it slammed shut, and for all he knew he would be locked in the flats for a long lasting while. There sure were a lot of jammed doors around this mysterious, dark place.
Pyramid Head groaned as he moved his head back into the more comfortable position. Though of course, it wasn't luxury. Neither was it nice. Stepping forward, he leered down at James, examining him through his limited sight.
James squinted as he felt something squish from beneath his feet, and he curiously lifted up his leg. He quickly turned his head, muttering with disgust. He wiped the sole of his shoe on the floor; even though the floor was far from clean.
The masked executioner stared down at him hungrily+. He dragged his sword along the wood, alarming James as it sliced the framework. James froze. He'd never seen such a monstrosity. Such a horror. Pyramid Head stepped closer to the stairs, and James edged away, trying to open the door behind him.
Careful footing was placed, there were so many holes around.
The slaughterer placed a single foot on the top stair, not forgetting to heave his blade along behind him. Another foot, and another. James stood still, as if mesmerised by the steady movements.
A sudden grunt slipped from Pyramid Head's lips as he lost his footing in a small hole in the stair. His sword flung forward. James ran swiftly to the right, merely missing the blade.
Pyramid Head's arm frantically flapped in the air as he fell down the flight of steps, a strange scream emitting from his mask. James curiously raised an eyebrow, trying the door behind him again.
The triangular mask dug deep into the floor, sending a hollow vibration through the air. His hands helplessly gripped the edges, attempting to lift it up, but it was too heavy. James smothered a snicker with his hand, but then realised that he still had to find Mary. He gave Pyramid Head a last, unconcerned glance before shuffling away, deeper into the apartments.
Some muffled groans of agony and sounds could be heard from beneath the mask. Ones that sounded extremely like:
"My noseā¦"
