Prologue

The smell of the salty sea pierces my nostrils. The way the boat moves with the waves, up and down, left and right, is making me sea-sick. I run back inside my cabin and unload the vomit that's bursting to come out of my mouth into the bucket.

"We finally made it to Mineral Town, sir. Er, sir?" The sailor turns around to see a pale me trying to stand up right. He quickly runs over to me and helps me up. I hand him a piece of paper with the address of the land I've inherited from the Old Farmer. He leads the way and I stay close behind him whilst carrying my puppy, Chet.

It's my first day here in Mineral Town. As we pass by the square, lots of the townsfolk smile and greet me. They all seemed accept my presence in their town warmly.

That's when she stopped me. Her smile. It wasn't like any other smile. It was a shy but sincere smile. Her smile made my heart stop. Her face. It was as if she had the face of a angel. It was fair and soft. Her long charcoal black hair shined under the bright sun. My whole world stopped in that moment. She was holding some sort of book in her hand.

All of a sudden, she notices me staring at her and her face turns red. She slowly walks toward me. My heart starts pounding like crazy. It feels like it's gonna burst out of my chest. She holds out the book in her hands.

"H-here. A gift from the library." She blushes.

I accept her gift and smiled at her. Her face grows even more red. And that's when my mind wondered.

Who is this girl with glasses and a heart-stopping smile?

Suddenly a bird poop landed on my shoulder...

And then another one falls and hits me straight in the face...
