Iruka Umino, now Hatake Umino, sighed as he looked out the window of his shared apartment with his husband and lover, Kakashi Hatake Umino. It was beginning of winter and already, Kohana was covered in beautiful, white, untouch snow that glisten in the sunlight. The weather was below zero despite, and Iruka had decided to let his class out early so they enjoy the beautiful weather themselves, while Iruka stayed indoors, enjoying a cup of hot tea while going over the homework assignment.
With yet another sigh, Iruka turned his focus back to the papers when a piece of jewel on his index finger caught his head. Looking at it, he couldn't help but smile, realizing what it was that made him happy.
It was a wedding ring, gave to him by none other than Kakashi himself. The ring was matellistic, with a japanese symbol that meant 'Scarecrow' on the side, while a dark, blue almost black jewel sat in front of the silver-metal band. Kakashi also had a ring like this, with excepting of the japanese symbol being 'dolphin' instead, and the jewel being firey red orange also.
It wasn't that long ago that the two got married; in fact, Iruka remember it being Spring when Kakashi had proposed, Spring being Iruka's favorite season. They had actually gotten married during Summer, Iruka's least favorite, but Kakashi's most favorite. Just thinking about how far they've come made Iruka want to cry, and how he couldn't ask for a better partner than Kakashi, even when they had their moments. Some people actually didn't believed it, and always wondered when Kakashi was going to drop Iruka for someone else, because Kakashi just wasn't the type to be hold down for too long. Secretively, Iruka had wonder that same thought, up until he realize that Kakashi was going nowhere, even at the beginning of it all...
The one thing about Iruka people could say, was that he was able to speak his mind better than most. This is true, henceforth the hostile arguement durning the Chunnin Exam between him and Kakashi (and even he had to wonder why he hadn't been blasted with the Chidori through the wall for his back talk). However, what most people failed to realize that, while Iruka can speak his mind about certain subjects, there were a few that cause the little chunnin to turn his head away, shyly.
Like, say, admitting that he likes the older jounin more than what everyone had thought at the time.
But it's not like he'll ever admit it, or have a chance! Beside, Kakashi likes women. Iruka wasn't, and therefore, could not go out with him.
So, it caught him off by surprise when Kakashi had asked him out to a date.
"You want what?" Iruka asked, blinking owishly. Kakashi sighed, rolling his eye mockingly, before looking back at Iruka.
"I want us to hang out. Just you and me." He said with a raise eyebrow. Iruka blinked again before looking in different directions other then Kakashi's face. There wasn't a single women around, so was he talking about him?
"Uuuh...sure?" He asked, uncertain. Kakashi smiled his upside-down U eye smile, an indication that Iruka was right in assuming himself.
"Great! I'll see you around...six? I don't know how long I'll be gone." He said, making Iruka wonder.
"Mission?"
"Yep. Well, you later Iruka-sensei." With a small wave, Kakashi walked away, leaving a confused yet happy Iruka behind.
