It was the morning after the semi finals for Men's International. Kiyoko had a hard time sleeping the night before. Her mind raced with all sort of possibilities and outcomes of the up coming match. What they would mean for the team... The country... To them as a family. Laying in bed, she rolled over to her right side noticing the sleeping man next to her. He slept so soundly after games it made her job easier. She didn't have to put him to rest as often.
With her left hand out reached, she brushed his hair back repeatedly. The curtains next to the bed frame fluttered inward with the light spring breeze. As the wind made its way in, it carried his natural homely scent along with it. It smelled of cotton and pine with a hint of wet wood. Kiyoko took in a deep breath letting out a heavy sigh.
"What are we going to do, Yu..."
As she began to sit up, her loving husband of 7 months already pulled her back down with a hefty tug at the forearm. She plopped back down next to him as he nuzzled his face into her hair.
She felt his shallow breathing against the top of her head.
"Yu... It's time to get up."
"Mmm..." He grumbled. She smiled up at him tapping at his forehead with her palm. Noya reached his hand up to grab hers. He intwined her smooth slender fingers into his rubbing her palm with his thumb. She relaxed a little, resting into his other arm that held her close to him. The calluses from his hands were one of the reasons she admired him so much.
Yu fluttered his eyes open only to lock onto hers. He stared blankly at her for a while before stretching a soft loving smile across his face. Letting out a low chuckle, he gave her one last tight squeeze before hopping out of bed with a quick jump.
"Alright! Let's do this. With you by my side. I'm able to do anything. We always have been, right? Kiyoko-chan?"
