"Inuyasha!" She screamed, her lungs aching from the effort.

Inuyasha continued to cower in the depths of the tree, making sure his fire-rat was completely concealed within the freshly grown spring branches.

"I'll say it," he heard Kagome's voice threaten, echoing through the forest, bouncing off every available surface in the forest.

His ears flatten against his head as he grimaces from the thought his claws digging heavily into the branch, to brace for the fall.

"Inuyasha, come here. Now!" His body moved of his own accord, his claws coming out of the wood of the trees, unable to stop himself from his fall at the suddenly yelled command.

Inuyasha came tumbling out of the trees, just as Kagome came sprinting through the forest, watching as Inuyasha comes tumbling onto the newly grown shrub, bouncing slightly on the leaves. Kagome began her tirade as soon as she made it over to him, her chest heaving from her searching from him. "You ate Shippo's ramen!" She asked exasperated. "Again! Inuyasha, he has to eat sometimes!"

He couldn't stop it, it came bubbling out of his throat before he could even comprehend what was happening. An appreciative burp came out of his mouth, thankful for the extra meal he had stolen. He smiled sheepishly up at her from his sprawled position on top of the bush. "I'm sorry…?" He wasn't too sure he was sorry, the pack of ramen he'd stole from Shippo had helped to quench his ever-present hunger.

Kagome stomped off in anger, the dull thuds of mud echoing from under her feet as she made her way back to the camp, grumbling gruffly as she made her way through the forests, glad that the rains had finally stopped and made way for the sunshine.

Once she'd left Inuyasha took of in the opposite direction, running further into the forest.

Kagome sat meekly by the campfire, the sunset slowly making its way behind the mountains. She watched as it drifted out of view, sighing heavily as Inuyasha still hadn't showed up. She felt guilty for yelling at him, but Shippo needed his one packet, while Inuyasha usually had two. Her stomach grumbled slightly, her hand coming up to rest on her hungry belly. She'd given her ration to Shippo, instead sneaking a few pieces of chocolate out of her bag to munch on.

A rumble in the bushes near her should have drawn her attention but she was too lost in her thoughts to see it. "Kagome," A gruff voice asked behind her.

That caught her attention, her head whipping around to look behind her. "Inu-" She began, but trailed off as she realized her head was level with his crotch. She brushed bright red and scrambled backwards awkwardly, landing softly on her butt.

"Here." He shoved a lovely bouquet of freshly grown flowers into her face before bounding off, the lush forest covering his decent.
