"What is that behind your back?" Amanda (King) Stetson asked.
"Nothing." Lee Stetson spoke weaving around her desk, keeping his back away from her, heading for his desk.
"You're lying. What do you have in your hands?" She asked, following him to his desk.
"I told you, nothing. Now, can we get to work?" He asked, sitting gently in his chair, keeping his hands out of sight.
"Scarecrow, you're hiding something from me and I want to know what it is. Now are you going to tell me, or do I have to 'interrogate' you?" She asked, her voice husky as she leaned over his desk.
Smiling his most charming smile, he simply stated, "Well, that sounds 'promising' but as I stated before, I have nothing in my hands."
Amanda huffed, "Fine, if you don't want to show me or tell me, I suppose I'll just have to guess myself."
Lee hung his head and sighed, "Fine, if you must know." Lee stood, turning his back to his wife.
Amanda laughed. After a few minutes and the look of defeat on her husband's face, she stifled her giggles, "Oh, Lee, what happened?"
Her turned his hands over and over again in front of him as he spoke, "Well, while I was helping Philip with his science project...well...the dye we were using to paint one of the planets...well...doesn't seem to wash off."
"Oh, honey, you should have told me." She spoke, as she took his now blue hands into her's, "We might have been able to find something to remove it."
"Amanda, I couldn't tell you." He said, blushing at the thought, "I'm a trained spy, and I couldn't even do a simply science project without incident."
Amanda laughed, "Lee..."
"Amanda, I have 'blue' hands! I can just hear Francine now." He sighed, as he sat heavily into his chair.
Deciding to lighten the mood, Amanda stated, "Well, at least they aren't red."
Lee glared at her, but realizing her reasoning, he began to laugh, Amanda joining in, just as Francine walked in.
"What's going on in here?" Francine asked, causing the couple to double over in laughter. "Why don't you two act your age, for heaven's sake. Some of us 'actually' work, while you two are having fun." She stated as she slammed the door behind her.
The two continued to laugh.
