A/N: Just a little (silly) one-shot that came into my head the other day and I thought I'd share :) Just so you know, I imagine them to be in their late teens/early twenties for this one (and back in the Alpha Quadrant). Hope you enjoy!
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Arachnophobia
"Naomi? Everyone's ready for..." Icheb trailed off as he caught sight of Naomi standing on a chair in the middle of her room, looking absolutely terrified. He was immediately on the alert, "What's the matter?" he asked, concerned, striding towards her.
She turned to face him, her eyes like saucers, "Look," was all she managed to say, pointing a shaky finger in the direction of the wall opposite them.
He followed her gaze and tried desperately to control his amusement when he realised what had frightened her. "Naomi, it's just a spider," he told her, trying to keep his amusement from creeping into his voice.
"It is not 'just a spider,'" she retorted, "it's a huge, disgusting spider," she corrected him.
A chuckle escaped before Icheb could stop himself and she shot him a dark look, "It's not funny," she informed him through clenched teeth.
Icheb raised an eyebrow, "You've got to admit that it is a little bit funny," he told her, "think of all the things we had to face in the Delta Quadrant and you're afraid of a spider?" he asked, incredulous.
"We didn't have spiders in the Delta Quadrant," she muttered.
"No, just aliens that could kill you far more easily," he agreed, his tone a perfect blend of teasing and sarcasm.
"Will you just get rid of it, please?" she begged.
He sighed, he never could resist when she turned those eyes on him; with exaggerated patience he picked it up the 'huge, disgusting' spider by one of its legs and took it outside, resisting the urge to dangle it in her face as he did so.
He returned to her room to find her still on the chair, he cleared his throat, "As I was saying, your mother and the others are downstairs, I was sent up to come and get you."
He started slightly as she jumped into his arms, confident that he would catch her (which he did), "Downstairs sounds like a great idea," she said cheerfully. "What?" she continued at his bemused expression, "that may not have been the only one."
Icheb shook his head as he carried her out of her room.
