Author's Note: Many many deep thank you's to those people who Favourited, followed and reviewed my other stories, even though I've lately not been too good at replying to them. Or at posting here all that much. I hope you like this poem. There are so many things for Loki that just have to be settled eventually.
He can never rest in peace;
You're living the life that he still seeks.
How can you and she kiss, while he can't breathe?
Even before he was sent
Into the restless deep.
There are still many things
He wants to see –
Her, before she fell
Into the last, eternal peace.
Her funeral lights,
Over the endless seas
Some respite without pain,
And some gain without grief.
For all his lies,
He still may as well not speak.
Maybe you will see him
When you finally weep;
When it comes near the end
Of the crumbling Tree.
Though before the shadows close in,
To make the realms cease,
The two of you could fight
To bring the worlds to their feet
To save them from sinking
Into the restless deep.
When you reach the finale,
Happy endings do not come cheap –
Do only one of you two
Get a realm to keep
As a home, as a place
To bloodlessly sleep?
You can save him,
If you would please;
A matter of want, for you,
For him, desperate need.
If at least You were to see
How much he did need
The gain of a friend,
An unshaken family tree,
Only then can it truly be
"Rest, Brother, now in peace."
