A/N: This came while I was listening to "Regret Message" by Rin Kagamine. Basically, it's the same story, just put into a poem… Tell me what you think. This is the first poem I've ever written outside of a school assignment, so I'm pretty sure it sucks…

--------------

Come Back to Me

Outside a small town is a dock overlooking the sea,

And every day there stands a lonely girl, crying "Come back to me",

But her cries go unanswered, and there she'll stand,

Until she is forced to return once more to land.

-

One day, the girl goes to the dock again,

Yet today is different, her thoughts on the one called Len,

She holds something precious to her breast,

And then throws it to the sea, losing sight of it in a wave's crest.

-

The girl cries out once more, "Come back to me",

On her dock outside a small town, overlooking the sea.

-

Floating away from the girl, alone on a dock overlooking the sea,

Is a small glass bottle, with a message pleading: "Come back to me",

And her tears overflow with no end,

Until a boy comes with warm arms and a smile to lend.

-

The girl does not see him, all but immune,

Her grief has long since sent her heart to ruin,

But still the stranger stays, drying away her tears,

And fighting away all of her fears.

-

The girls tears are still flowing as she whispers, "You've come back to me?",

But she is all alone on her dock overlooking the sea.

-

The person she wishes to return

Is no longer in this world, she must learn,

And yet here he is, drying her tears,

And fighting away all of her fears.

-

He fades with the sun, the one to which she pleaded: "Come back to me",

And she is alone again on her dock overlooking the sea.

The legend he once told must be naught but lies,

If he still does not heed her distraught cries.

-

"Throw a bottle containing your wish into the sea,

And it shall come true," he'd promised her, "just wait and see."

-

Years passed by, and still the girl waited by the sea,

Each day repeating her wish: "Come back to me!"

And so, each day, he'd wait for her, unheard and unseen,

All because of the Maiden of Green.

-

Then one day, the girl went down to the dock overlooking the sea,

But instead of releasing her message of "Come back to me",

She released a bottle with a new message into the waves,

And watched in silent, regretful sadness as it was swept away:

-

"If I could be reborn just one time,

I want it to be together with you again, brother mine."
