Strange Happenings

After ignoring my alarm clock for the third time this morning, I decided to get up. I checked the clock to make sure I wasn't late. Good, it's only 6:00. I hurried and took a quick shower, and laid out my clothes. I glanced at the clock once again, and was confused. How the hell did it go from being 6 to 6:30? Great, now I have 10 minutes before my bus gets here. I rushed and threw on my clothes, and gathered my books for school. I heard the engine roaring and flipped over the banister. Its times like this where I'm glad for 10 years of being forced to take gymnastics.

I ran out door and felt a sharp pain in my ankle. Okay, so maybe I shouldn't have flipped over the banister. I stood there waiting for the bus away from the crowd of people. The bus seemed to take all of an eternity, as it rolled down hill. I could feel my patience starting to wear thin. I sighed in relief as it came near and the doors opened. I was too wrapped up in the new science book I got, to even notice that the bus was already in front of the school. I gathered my things and walked inside to my own personal hell hole, known as high school. I smiled in thought that it was almost spring break in about a week.

Pushing past the many people, I made it to my locker and got ready to start the school day. I started walking to my homeroom, when I heard an all too familiar laugh. I looked up and there he was walking with Winry. I growled internally, not really knowing the reason why. They didn't seem to notice me as I walked passed them. For once, I was glad I wasn't noticed. I crept out of the classroom, not wanting to bump into Winry, but mostly Alphonse. Suddenly, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I jumped unknowing of who it was, and turned around. My reflexes must've kicked in because I was now standing in a defense position.

"Whoa there, calm down. I just wanted to talk. No need to get physical." Al laughed at me, causing me to blush. I relaxed and stood there, wishing that I could just go back to being unnoticed. I looked down at the floor and chuckled, "Sorry about that, you startled me." He smiled, which made my heart just beat faster more than it already was. "Why is my heart beating so fast? And why is my face so hot?" I thought inwardly, feeling my palms become sweaty. I walked ahead hoping he wouldn't notice these weird reactions. "Hey, wait for me. Where are you in a hurry to? We're just going to breakfast." I kept on walking and my brain seemed to process what he just said. Oh my puddin' tater, he just said we. I started to ponder as to why all of a sudden he wanted to sit with me. I imagined how awkward it would be with just me and Al sitting there eating. I bit my lip nervously, and thought of how awkward it would be being alone with him instead of his brother.

I'm used to eating with Ed and talking randomly about T.V. shows we liked and school stuff. But now, it's just going to be and Al, and this time I'm going to have to actually talk to him. I must have zoned out because Al, was repeatedly tapping me on my shoulder. "What's wrong? Are you okay? Your face is all red." I nodded, feeling slightly more embarrassed. This is going to be an interesting morning.
