Lord of Conquest
Orochimaru's men laid scattered around his headquarters; three figures in black, hooded cloaks stood in the center of the large, circular room before the Sanin, half surrounding a man hidden beneath a white, hooded cloak. Kabuto stood before his master, a kunai fixed in both hands as he readied to defend his lord. The three figures who stood behind the man in the white cloak turned ever so slightly, analyzing the ninja. The man held up a gloved hand, and the three ninja continued their guard over the room. The feared Sanin wiped blood from the corner of his mouth. The man in the white cloak, whose face was left unseen except for his mouth, smiled.
"Dear man," he said, his voice mystique, spreading his arms about him, "Look what you've become, even with your forbidden jutsus." He placed his arms back to his sides and turned from the two standing ninja of the Sound. Clasping his hands behind him, he walked around the half-circle, absently examining his shinobi as he continued to talk. "I'm rather disappointed, Lord Orochimaru." The ninja glared ferociously at the man as he spoke his title mockingly. "To think that the other villages fear you, when three of my men took out your whole force! What the strength of the shinobi has dwindled to."
The man turned back to Orochimaru and Kabuto, still smiling. "What do you want?" Orochimaru asked darkly, warily. The cloaked man's smile broadened. He slowly approached the two men. Kabuto stiffened his body. As the man ascended the stairs of which Orochimaru and Kabuto stood on, he lunged at the man. The three soldiers had remained behind their leader. Abruptly, the center and shortest one rushed to the Sound ninja and swiftly kneed Kabuto in the jaw, sending him flying halfway across the circular room. The black hood flew off with the amazing speed, revealing a small-framed woman with violet hair. Instantly, she grabbed kunai and faced them towards Orochimaru and Kabuto.
The leader hooded the girl and spoke, "Enough, darling, I am in no danger here." The woman nodded, bowed to her master, and with one leap, landed back into her spot beside the two other veiled figures. "Excuse us for that," he continued, facing the legendary ninja, "She is new to our family." His hooded face turned towards Kabuto who struggled to sit up. "Do not worry; she only used a minimal amount of strength; no fatal injury was taken to any of your ninja, for I need your services, Orochimaru."
The ninja glared at the hooded man and answered, "Why would you think I would serve you? You come barging in here without an invitation; I have my own goals, you know." The cloaked head nodded. "Oh, I know, Orochimaru. I know more about you, this village, and your goals than you could possibly give me credit for. In fact, I have more knowledge, power, and am closer to achieving my goal than you could spend eighty more years working yours! I am far superior than any other force in the world! So, I come to you, feared Sanin, Orochimaru, to give you the honor of becoming one of my lowly subordinates."
The Sanin opened his mouth, ready to retort when the mysterious man raised his glove hand and a great weight filled the whole circular room. Kabuto fell just as he got on his feet; Orochimaru stumbled backwards, finding support against the wall behind him. The cloaked man turned and walked back to the door opposite of Orochimaru, the weight pressing down on everyone. The four figures reached the ajar door, none of them affected by the invisible power forcing the shinobi down. "Answering no could be fatal, Orochimaru; defying my cause, even if you stay out of my way, will only earn you a quick and easy death. Do not answer now. Instead, I will send a messenger in three weeks for your answer. Please, do send it in writing; I love receiving mail." With that, the four figures disappeared, the weight of the man's power whisking off with them.
