This is my first foray into the Twilight fandom as far as writing goes. This was a request by thegunfairy. Jacob/Bella. I don't own anything, not even my house, so don't sue me. Please R&R.
I.
Jacob is not safe, not gentle or tender. He is not a gentleman. He's rude and loud, stubborn and headstrong. He's reckless and dangerous, and sometimes she thinks he lives to prove her wrong. He's become her bandages, the sutures and staples holding her heart together, but she's killing herself as she picks them apart.
He is the wind rushing past her on her motorcycle, the adrenaline pumping through her veins, the exalted cry of joy as she speeds past the trees and the pain. Jacob is fear – fear of broken bones and broken hearts – but it's that fear that has her addicted to him, that draws her in time and time again. Each time she loses control, each time the wind gets knocked from her lungs, she climbs back on, searching for the rush.
He is the wind, the adrenaline, the brakes and the gas. And lately, he's the ground that catches her fall, and she's not sure how she feels about that.
