My name is Fish In Gentle River, but you can call me Fish.
I'm Setting Sun Behind Cliff! Call me Sun or I will kill you, though.
Great tribe of endless hunting Sun! Oh, hi! I'm Mud Next To River... Or Mud...
You see, were all best- ARGH! SUN!
I was only playing...
Now, now, youngsters, calm down... Shall I tell you a story?
Yes please, Boulder!
Come along then... Well, it starts like this...
It was a dark and stormy night; the clouds shifted in the camp. The silhouetted shapes of two cats sprinted across the clearing to where a small she-cat was lying on the ground, blood spread scarlet over her pretty golden coat, mattering it along with the wet rain that covered her fur.
"Ellie! Ellie!" One of the shadowy cats yowled to the silver moon, his voice echoing around the camp. The she-cat -Ellie- did not move a muscle. Wails filled the clearing, embracing the tom in a huge blanket of mourning. His heart split in two pieces. Something made him want to join her there on the floor, his tabby pelt close to hers, and wait for the stars to take him away. But he could not do that, he knew. "Timber, we can't... We can't save her... We have to go," the words slipped out of his mouth along with a loud wail.
"Yes, Traian, let's g- oh my... Oh. my StarClan!" Timber stammered, staring down at the unmoving, stiff what-used-to-be Ellie. Curious and intrigued, Traian crept forward towards his companion. And to his surprise, before him were three tiny kits.
Once they were friends, Stag Leap, Ashflame and Shadow Of A Large Tree. But friends can't stay together all the time; they split up, not only in friendships but in life. Ashflame found ThunderClan; leaving her siblings she carried onto to be Ashkit, Ashpaw, and then finally the deputy, Ashflame. Stag Leap, however, found The Wildcats, and joined their group; changing his name from Antler to Stag Leap. Shadow Of A Large tree found The Tribe Of Falling Leaves, and trained to heal the tribe with all his strength. Now they knew they would never stay together...
Stag Leap kept on having these visions, of cats in the forest, strange ones. One appeared to be dying, two others mourning her. Then, one of the the others stepped back to reveal him and his siblings as loners: Stag, Ash and Shadow.
Ashflame constantly heard voices in her mind; whispering to her; screaming at her all the time. One was a she-cat, she could tell she was at the brink of death, calling to her, telling her to go back to her siblings. She didn't want to, the memories were too strong. Then there was a tom, with a cold, chilling voice laughing an evil laugh, burning her mind. It drove her so crazy she cut her left ear off.
Shadow had nightmares every night, short and ominous. He saw cats; crying a river of tears which swept him and his soul away, filling his lungs with salt water and fear gripping him From head to toe until he woke up with a start, sweating and frightened to death, only to hear a voice telling him to find Ashflame and Stag Leap.
All three of them knew the memories would haunt them forever unless they found each other.
