Ballad Of Fallen Angels

Walking up that slight steep hill
A house of the holy is where I must go
A full artillery is hidden under my coat
I can hear the music
There I walk in and confront my past

"When angels are forced out of
heaven they become devils."

"I'm just watching a bad
dream I never wake up from"

Look to the side, who do I see?
That walking trouble
Drop the gun? One shot; down
So it begins…

Gun shots fired
Where they land
It's too late to know
Your heart skips
It hurts against your ribs
An explosion of red comes from my side
Up at the window
Stained glass in perfect
Designs and shapes
A flash of his metal
Our own fight has
Started only with us
My weapon goes flying
His right there on my face
In a quick move I have
It then trip and there it
Is as weapons heart to heart

"I've bled all that
kind of blood away."

"Then why are
you still alive?"

A gunshot then a slash and
Blood flies out as we dress
Our horrible wounds
Picked up and thrown
My grenade drops and glass shatters…

See I don't
Remember I do
The soprano ballad
Of a band of fallen angels
Vision flooding my unconscious mind
Falling I know
The purple sky
That figure in the window
The table, the kitchen
The puddle of rain
A dozen roses
While guns fire
Puddle of rain
Home for a forgotten rose
That vase on the desk
Innocent man behind the counter
My face cold and hard
I continue to fall
The cross and the rain in the city
That note torn and thrown
Back to back so we were
Now out a window I am
Because of you
Leather and sunglasses
First time gaze
A red rose
And it's home in a puddle
Take my cigarette from my mouth
He put a gun against her head
The butt falls and I turn
Carrying those dozen roses
Fires shot between men
You in a bed next to him
Eyes wide
Hands now red
Red runs down my face side
A smirk crossing my lips
That rose in the puddle
Explosion of orange and yellow fire
Shattered glass falling down at me
Blurry stairs, a dim street lamp
I see you, door open
Now I fall…

All is back
That's all I can see
I hear it though
Slowly my eyes open
There you are
Leaning over me…

"Just like that, sing
for me please…"
