My name is Erik Sinclair. Sinclair. I guess that name is the most significant thing without me.

If you take away the name Sinclair, then I'm simply Erik, a junior in high school who attends a prestigious private school in the heart of London.

However, as Erik Sinclair, I'm the third child of the Sinclair Coven, the prestigious and powerful witch family whose loyal to the Church of England, and defenders of christianity as a whole.

I wish that was all, but I'm also the possessor of [Divine Dividing], one of the 13 Longinus with the power to rival Gods and Satans when fully mastered.

However, this isn't what I want to be, my dream is to graduate high school, get accepted to the University of my dream, and pursue a prestigious business career, and leave behind the life of a magician and forget all about this Longinus, fighting, and magic.

But that isn't my story.

And this isn't how my story ends.

As a matter of fact, this is just the beginning.

Prologue Fate

A tall man let out a annoyed groan as he leaned back in his chair, his eyes gazing at the clock that striked 4 a.m. He turned towards his sister who also shared his annoyed expression however she sat straight in a more dignified position with her legs crossed. Giving off the appearance of a rather noble woman.

"Sister, how long do you think they expect to keep us cooped up in here, waiting. They must know our family is very busy" the man said. He was in his early 20s and possessed bright hazel eyes and silky blonde hair styled in a very slick back way with several bangs hanging oer his face. He had a pair of sunglasses on his face and only wore a black t-shirt and designer jeans.

"Vanity is a sin brother" the woman said as she placed her hands on our lap, "you know our loyalty to the church is very important and considering what happened during our last mission...this is to be expected" she stated clearly as she moved some of her blonde hair from her face.

While the woman shared her brother's hazel colored eyes and silky blonde hair, which was wrapped into a ponytail, her appearance was very different from her brother. She was dressed in a very formal business suit with a fitted skirt, a blazer and dark red tie. Her nails were trimmed and manicured and cherry red lipstick covered her lips.

The man tapped his foot from the ground before rising another angry groan escaping his mouth, "I swear if they keep us waiting any longer-"

"They allowed us to return home, go change, and return the next morning. We should be glad they allowed us to have some rest before submitting a oral report. I'm sure the Priest and Bishop of this church are rather busy. They had to fly in the Bishop from his trip to settle this matter. Please be patient. I'm going to be late for work because of this as well. I'm sure your studio can handle missing one day of work".

Before the man could respond the door opened revealing three different men.

The Priest of the Church of England. Father Edward. A middle aged man with bright orange hair dressed in formal black and red priest attire with a eye patch over his left eye. He was the priest of the current Church. Having lost a eye during a battle, when his father stepped down from the role he was the obvious pick to run the church and the next generation of exorcists.

The Arch Bishop of England. Simon De Cirene. Despite being a man approaching fifty years of age he looked like the youngest of the three men, appearing as a young man in his early 20s with shoulder-length wavy blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Instead of wearing his typical attire he was dressed in a brown business suit, a attire he was forced to take for his travels. However to the two siblings he gave off an aura, a aura of warmth, peace, mystery, and security. This was to be expected of course. He was the son of a human father and a angel mother. A irregular existence known as a Miracle Child, however he was also a Prophet of the current generation. If there was ever such a thing as a holy existence, it was him.

And last, the third man, the most powerful exorcist of the church. Lorenzo Montgomery. One of the ten strongest exorcists of the church and the bodyguard of Simon De Cirene. Originally a army soldier from America until he learned of the supernatural and quit and became a independent exorcist. He later met Simon and took on the role as his bodyguard. He is a man that appears to be in his early 20s with gray hair and bright blue eyes. Dressed in a black exorcist/military-style uniform.

"Sorry to keep you two waiting" Simon said with a clear and bright smile. He motioned for the younger man to sit back down before he took his seat on the other side of the office. Father Edward and Lorenzo both standing behind him. "The second I heard of what had transpired I cut my trip short and hurried back to England to settle this matter".

"There isn't much to handle" the young man said with a annoyed expression leaning his hand on the desk. His sister elbowed him in the side causing him to begrudgingly sit up straight as she looked between the three older man.

"Where are your younger brother and sister? I specifically made it clear that we needed to speak to all four of you!" Father Edward stated with a annoyed expression, "the Sinclair Family might be independent exorcists but they are still expected to abide by the authority of the Church of England and the Catholic Church according to the current treaty".

Before her brother could speak and make matters worse she raised her hand in the air, "Sorry Father, Erik and Allison were both very tired from the past evening and they are both young children. Besides, Erik still has school in a few hours. Please allow us to give their statements in our stead. All four of the Sinclair siblings are in agreement regarding the events, and either me, Nicole Sinclair, or my brother, Brandon Sinclair are in line to be the next Regent of the Sinclair household so our statements should be enough for a proxy".

The three men both looked at each other before turning back towards the two siblings, "Alright, I will allow this, but you both should understand the predicament you four are in, breaking protocol that almost costed the life of another exorcist".

"We understand the predicament, but please allow us to explain the situation it was in and how we came to be involved in this mess" Nicole Sinclair stated before turning towards her older brother who nodded in agreement as well.

It's that time of the month again. The Sinclair's family annual training exam.

"Come on Erik! Move your ass" a brown haired man in his early 20s with hazel colored eyes shouted as he raced in front of his three siblings, easily taking second place next to his younger sister.

"Yeah Erik, this is really disappointing, it feels like you're doing even worse than last month" a girl with dirty blonde hair tied in pigtails and bright orange eyes shouted with a competitive smile from the front of the run.

"No fair" a tired boy said from the back, "you guys are purposely going faster than usual" he said, huffing and puffing as if he would collapse at any moment.

"Now Erik, it isn't right to blame us for your own shortcoming, you simply need to try harder" his older sister said. The three siblings then looked at each other with smiles on their faces before turning back to Erik.

"Hey, what are you three thinking?" Erik questioned with a suspicious look on his face.

It was then the three siblings went for a full on sprint leaving Erik behind a cloud of literal dust. Erik then collapsed on the ground completely exhausted.

The Sinclair Family, a family of top-class magicians who were heavily loyal to the church. Their bodies and minds raised from a young age to be exorcists who would defend the Church of England and Christianity as a whole from devils, fallen angels, strays, or any threat that would come. However, their souls were raised as magicians. The Sinclair family was one of the strongest magician covens in England, no, the entire world, they possessed top-tier magic that rooted from their ancestry.

Brandon Sinclair, the oldest and first son of the Sinclair siblings. He was a smart, charming, and strong young man in his early 20s who had trained with a sword since he was a young age. He was the top pick to become Regent of the Sinclair Coven after his father's retire. However, living a life of luxury had left a stain on his personality, he was very arrogant and loved to flaunt his status, family name, and wealth out for all the world to see and envy. His personality was very unbecoming of a exorcist however it was increasingly hard for the church to ignore his top-tier exorcism skills. In the past, he also faced a 1-on-1 match with the second son of the Phenex family and was victorious, earning him a small reputation in the Underworld.

Nicole Sinclair, the second sibling but first daughter of the Sinclair family. A very smart, strict, and powerful young woman who despite her young age made a very successful law career for herself, having gained her bar license despite her exorcist work. While she hasn't gained a arrogant attitude like her brother, she was known to push those who worked under her to the utmost limit causing younger exorcists to both fear and respect her, she has even gained the title of Monstrous Woman of the Church and some, despite her young age have even compared her to the likes of Griselda Quarta. While her magic skills are only mid-class level, her strength plus her exorcism skills make her tied with her brother at becoming Regent of the Sinclair family.

Young lady Allison Sinclair, a very domineering and arrogant young girl who despite her youth has crushed the heart of a hundred young men. The youngest daughter of the Sinclair family of fifteen years of age, while she possesses a bit of a "rebellious streak" she loves to torment and bully her older brother Erik Sinclair. While she is magically the weakest of the siblings, her brute strength is on par to her older sister and very recently she was promoted to a mid-class exorcist. She fights with holy-water enhanced nails, making her a threat to devils and creatures of darkness.

And last….Erik Sinclair...the third child of the Sinclair family. A very passive but soft-hearted boy. While he is physically the weakest of his siblings, and despite the fact that he does possesses a abnormal amount of magic that he can't control he does possess one special gift that puts him above his siblings, Divine Dividing, also known as the White Dragon Emperor's White Wings, a special irregular sacred gear and one of the thirteen Longinus in the entire world. Even possessing a sacred gear is seen as a irregularity but possessing a longinus is another class above this. Unlike his siblings though, Erik doesn't want to live the life of a magician or exorcist, but instead wants to live a peaceful life as a normal human, he is in last place for regent of his-

"ENOUGH!" a blonde woman in her late 30s slammed her hand on a table angrily as she looked down at her children who were still running around the track. She turned towards her family's butler with a look that could kill a thousand times. Despite the fact that she was a human and her age, her face showed no sign of aging, she possessed long flowing blonde hair and bright blue eyes.

"What's the matter honey?" Lord Sinclair said turning towards his wife with a confused expression on his face, he was a very tall and muscular man and has the appearance of a middle-aged, handsome looking man with long light brown hair tied in a loose ponytail and bright hazel eyes. He was dressed in a white suit that contrasted heavily with the plain tank top and jeans his wife was wearing.

"You plan to send this report to the magician's association about the progress of our four children regarding you stepping down in three years time and one of them becoming the new regent correct?"

"I still fail to see the problem…"

"Because Aereys, it makes Erik seem like a failure" Lady Arya Sinclair said with crossed arms.

There was a brief pause between the two causing Lady Sinclair to turn around and punch her husband lightly in the stomach, "Erik is not a failure!"

The butler who had been reading the script quickly walked away, not wanting to be near the two when a argument broke out.

Lord Sinclair let out a sigh before standing up and looking down at his children, from the upstair balcony of his manor.

As a father he was proud that he was lucky to raise such healthy, beautiful, and good children, Brandon, Nicole Erik, and Allison. While he had some problems with his children while they were young, none of them turned out to be criminals or downright cruel or evil. While Brandon and Nicole had both settled into excellent careers, Brandon working as a news figure and his oldest daughter working as a lawyer at a successful firm. Erik was a junior at public high school and Allison's private studies were going well. As a father there was nothing better he could ask for.

But as a magician, as the Sinclair family head who planned to step down in three years, just after his youngest daughter became a adult he was worried for the sake of his clan. Brandon and Nicole were strong and powerful young adults but they needed to be stronger. Allison, his youngest daughter, was a decent exorcist but she was the weakest in terms of magical reserves of her siblings.

But Erik...while he didn't like to pick favorites or deem one of his child as the "problem child", Erik was certainly the one. He was borned with such high magic that Lord Sinclair was excited to see the type of magician he would become, when he learned that he had birthed the current White Dragon Emperor he was even more excited that he planned to deem Erik the Regent of the Sinclair family but at the age of eight when Erik started magic training his viewpoint of Erik's abilities went from bad to worse.

Even basic spells, would end in giant explosions. While he possessed immense reserves of power, he lacked the ability to control any form of magic. Even basic spells. This wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for the immense amount of friendly fire, for lack of a better word. He would even hurt himself with his own magic. After eight years of meeting with healers, exorcists, magicians from around the world they couldn't explain Erik's abnormal magic power and because of this Erik refrained from using or even attempting to use magic due mostly to his mother's protest for the harm it would cause.

As the years grew, it became obvious that physically he was weaker than his siblings, plus, with his inability to control any magic at all, even with the divine dividing he fell heavily behind his siblings. However, even this isn't the end of Erik's tragic fate.

Lord Sinclair couldn't tell if it was the bullying he faced from the other magician children of his coven or his own inferiority complex regarding his abilities, but Erik at the age of 13 started to express discontempt or downright hatred for the supernatural world and all things magical, he expressed his goal to live a normal, simple, human life, and to die a normal, simple, human death. His longinus, immense magical power, all going to waste. Living a life of mediocrity as Lord Sinclair described it.

"I just wish he would try more" Lord Sinclair stated.

"He does try, he has always tried" Lady Sinclair defended Erik, despite her husband's frustration with his second son, third youngest, Lady Sinclair would've been satisfied with him living a normal human life, as long as he was happy.

"THAT'S ENOUGH!" Lord Sinclair shouted to his children below his mansion balcony. The four children then collapsed on the ground breathing heavily with sweat dripping down their faces.

"I thought father said he would stop us at four miles, not five" Allison stated.

"I guess he felt you needed the exercise, he doesn't want you getting chubby on us" Brandon said, teasing his young sister as he tickled her stomach.

"I'm not chubby" she stated as she elbowed her older brother in the stomach.

Lord and Lady Sinclair allowed their children to rest for a few minutes as they came down the manor with ten of their servants in tow, "now let's move on to the magic test" Lord Sinclair said with a smile, he however then turned towards Erik, "Erik, you can sit this out" he stated.

Erik looked over at his three siblings before standing alongside his mother who confronted him with a small bright smile. "Now Erik, please explain to your siblings the five pillars of the Sinclair's family magic" Lord Sinclair said turning towards his son.

"Alright father" Erik stood in front of both his parents looking at his siblings directly. The Five Pillars of the Sinclair family magic, passed down from St. Clair, the first Sinclair magician. The power of telekinesis, to pull objects away from or towards you. The power of elementals, to summon water, fire, earth, or lightning. The power of teleportation, to move from one place to another instantaneously. The power of light bringer, to draw forth light even in darkness. And last, the strongest power of a Sinclair witch, the power to speak to a ancestor of the past".

"Very good Erik" Lord Sinclair said nodding to his son. While his magic lacked control, his knowledge and general intelligence was much higher than his siblings. Lord Sinclair then turned towards his three other children, "now in order to be the next Sinclair Regeant, you must have mastery over all five of these pillars. So now is the chance to test your ability in front of the family servants and your parents. Prove to us that you deserve to be the next Regent of the Clan".

[Yes father] the three siblings said in unison.

Erik lowered his head in slight disappointment before turning back towards his three siblings.

"Excuse me, Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair" the entire crowd made up of the Sinclair family and their servants paused as they turned around to see a beautiful girl standing by the manor door.

She had long curly brown hair and pale white skin that contrasted the bright pink lipstick on her lips and the cherry red nail polish. She was dressed in a red and brown school uniform that had a small S in the right corner.

"Oh, Katherine Cantini, it's so nice to see you" Lady Sinclair said with a smile while Lord Sinclair let out a huff and crossed his arm looking up to the sky.

The Cantini Witch Coven, the rivals of the Sinclair family, who specialized in special curse magic and possessed the magic of the undead. They were a powerful witch coven and because of their magic rooting from darkness, it wasn't a mystery why they were the rivals of the Sinclair family. However, due to the peace pact between the two covens, it was impossible to engage each other in direct battle.

"Me and Erik have to leave for school or we're going to be late" Katherine said as she walked up to Erik and wrapped her arms around his own pulling him towards her chest. Erik's cheeks began to heat up as the two started at Lord Sinclair.

"Honey" Lady Sinclair said as she stared her husband down.

"Alright fine, since you were going to skip the magical test anyways, I'll allow you to go to school, but for the life of me, I'll never understand why you choose to attend a human school nor why you choose to hang out with a Cantini wit-"

Lady Sinclair wrapped her hand around her husband's mouth, "have a good day at school sweetie" she said with a small laugh.

"Bye mom, by Brandon, Nicole, and Allison" Erik said with a small smile as he waved at his siblings.

"Loser" Allison said crossing her arms, a little ticked off that her brother wouldn't be here to witness her improvement at the Five Pillars of the SInclair Family.

Erik and Katherine quickly scurried off, leaving behind the Sinclair family.

.

.

.

"I can't believe it's already the second week of our junior year of high school" Katherine said, turning to Erik with a bright smile, the two crossing the street and walking past several buildings, some old-looking and some very new.

Erik look down at his uniform, light brown tan pants with black dress shoes, a white dress shirt, with a black and red tie, along with a red blazer with a "S" embroidered on the right side of the jacket. His uniform matched Katherine's except her pants were placed with a tan skirt.

"Yeah, but it still feels like our freshman year, when I told my dad I planned to go to a normal human school again. He was furious but because of mom he accepted it but he's still not very happy about the idea" Erik stated, looking down at his hand.

"So...have you told your parents you plan to go to college in France or Japan. I heard you got a offer to a prestigious college in Japan, a University in America, and one in France" Katherine said with a smile, "you got twice as many offers as me, I'm kind of surprise and a bit jealous, but we can still go to college together".

"Yeah, I got a brochure from Kuoh Academy in Japan, apparently they want me to go overseas for their college division. Plus I got another offer from the University of Paris, but I think it was my family's name that helped with that one" Erik said with a nervous laugh putting his hand behind his head.

"Don't say that" Katherine said, "you're very smart, you were allowed to take the SAT your sophomore year and you flawlessly passed. You're very talented and in two years you'll be heading off to a prestigious college, and you'll finally be able to forget about this magician path".

"Yeah…" Erik said blankly as he stared up at the sky, while he cared about his family immensely, his lack of control over magic was a obvious downfall to him pursuing a magician or exorcist life, plus his siblings were already all superior physically over him. While his father would protest his decision to live a simple, human life he knew it was his only chance at being happy, the best path for him to take.

"Just a few more years...and then I'll get to be happy" Erik said with a bright smile.

[Japan During the Same Time]

Darkness.

A dark forest.

In the midst of the forest lied a stray devil, with a string of dead bodies surrounding the forest.

A stray devil, a devil who abandons their master to pursue their own selfish and wicked path. A reincarnated devil without a master was a dangerous creature, a reincarnated devil without a master who enjoyed eating human flesh was even worse.

"Eranyar, the stray devil from the Naberius family. Your time has come to a end" the girl who called out the stray devil was a beautiful young girl with long, flowing light brown hair and dark violet eyes. Her light pink fair skin was reflected by the lunar moonlight of the full moon and she was dressed in what seemed to be a casual school uniform.

However what made her stood out, was the two bull-like dark purple horns on her head and the two black bat-wings on her back.

The stray devil was a ugly creature, the body of a spider with the head of a human woman, along with eight hairy spider legs and six eyes on one side of its face. A stray devil battled always ended in ugliness.

The stray devil woman chomped the head off another corpse before dropping the lifeless body of a human woman to the ground. "Oh, if it isn't Lady Rebekah Orias herself, I'm kind of surprised you were able to track me down so quickly" the stray said with a laugh.

"You were a fool for choosing Japan as your hunting ground Eranyar, now it's time for you to die!" Rebekah called out, bright orange and yellow magic radiating around her body.

"Oh how cute" Eranyar said with sharp teeth pointing from her mouth, "you think just because you're from the Orias family you can take me on? Well tough shit, I'm sick of those fools known as the Seven Great Satans leading the Underworld."

Rebekah has a small sadistic smile on her face, "you can roar on about politics in hell!" before the stray devil could react a orange and yellow magic sigil bearing the symbol of the Orias clan opened up from Rebekah's hand and out shot was three small blasts of yellow orbs that resembled the sun.

"AHHH!" the stray devil cried as the blasts of magic scorched her leg. "You little bitch!" web shout out from the stray devil's mouth however Rebekah calmly put up a barrier however to her surprise the acid web slowly burned the magic sigil causing it to crack and disappear.

"Your magic is as hideous as your body" Rebekah called out, summoning forth her two wings and taking flight in the air. She then began to shoot out small blasts of blue and grey meteorite-like orbs down at the stray devil, pelting her immensely.

"Die!" the stray devil shouted with glowing dark red eyes. However before she could react she felt something pierce her back, causing her to collapse to the ground.

The stray devil turned around to see a arrow, flowing with green-like aura.

[Arrow of Pestilence: Direct shot]

"What did you do to me?" the stray devil questioned as sweat began to drip from her body, as she coughed up small traces of blood.

"Rebekah-Sama, I really wished you wouldn't start the battle without your servants by your side" a girl with dark blue and violet hair said as she looked up at her master, before turning back to the fallen stray devil, her pulling her bow back, ready to launch another arrow if she needed to.

"I could've handled this weakling and cowards by myself" Rebekah said pridefully, "besides Emily, where's Helen?"

"She's probably sleeping things off back at our dorm" Emily said with a sigh, "when she gets intoxicated she's like a glass tank, she'll explode before shattering".

"I'm bored of this creature, so let's wrap things up" Rebekah said as she aimed both her hands at the stray devil. "Eranyar, you spent your entire life as a servant of the Naberius family, only to betray them when it was convenient of you. They gave you security, protection, and a home but you turned your back on this clan when it suited you. Your wickedness is deserving of a hundred deaths but I'll settle on this one".

"D-D-Damn you…" the stray devil mumbled, she tried to stand only for her eight spider legs to collapse under her.

"My arrow of pestilence, carries with it the magic of the Leraje clan, the power of sickness. You can't escape stray" Emily stated.

Orange and yellow energy began to circle around Rebekah as small cracks and thunderbolts spread around her, she then pushed both her hands forward creating a giant sun-like object.

"It's time for you to taste death"

[Stardust Blaster]

The sphere launched at the stray devil as orange and yellow energy lit up the entire forest, the stray devil let out one last scream of pain, however her scream ended when the light died down, her body being completely burnt to ashes, leaving not a trace of her behind.

The power of Astrology, the main power of the Orias family, the power to manipulate the sun, moon, and stars, to draw forth energy, or to even create artificial objects that mimic their power, whether it be sun, moons, black holes, or even meteorites. One of the remaining powers left behind by the 72 Pillars.

It was a very dangerous and powerful power.

"Shall we return back to our dorm Rebekah?"

Rebekah looked down at the ashes, "yes, let's do that".

FootNote: In case I have to explain this, Japan is 8 hours ahead of England, so while it's night there in Japan, it's currently the afternoon in England. Now back to the story.

"I'm crushed, heart broken, I don't know how I can live in a world this cruel and monstrous. It's a dog eats dog world and I don't understand how we can-"

"Lucas, can you relax. You just got rejected by another girl, it's not that big of a deal" Katherine said before taking her can of coffee and taking another sip.

"Glad to see that the drama club is having fun with you" another boy said before laughing.

Lucas and Henry, they were Erik's other best friends, however unlike Katherine they didn't have any ties to the supernatural world nor were they magicians or exorcists, or anything of the sort. They were just two ordinary high school students, who loved to go to parties or play video games over the weekends.

Lucas was a rather skinny boy with greasy black hair and bright blue eyes, he was the tallest of the four, almost reaching 6'4 and his uniform was a bit tight on him. Henry on the other hand was the complete opposite, he had bright vibrant blonde hair but dark brown eyes, and he was the shortest of the group, being a few inches below Katherine. They both also adorned the same uniforms as Erik which was the male variation of Katherine's uniform.

"But seriously, I don't understand why you asked her out, everyone knows what type of girl she is" Katherine said before taking another sip of her coffee.

"Yeah, Erik is probably the only one here who has any chance of a shot with her" Henry said with a laugh as he pushed Erik on the back, almost causing him to drop his can of soda pop.

"Me?" Erik questioned while Katherine sent death glares to Henry.

"Haha, yeah, everyone knows she only dates boys from rich, religious, families. Your family fits that bill perfectly. However, your general awkwardness probably ruins your chances" Lucas said with a laugh.

The girl in question was Madison Bettencourt,

"My...what?" Erik question as he looked between his friends.

"Yeah...you are kind of awkward" Henry said.

"Remember that time in Chemistry where he dropped a beaker of nitric acid on his lap when the teacher called on him?"

Erik felt himself shrink a little.

"Or remember that time in English Lit. where he kept stuttering during his poem and fell on his way back to his desk"

Erik felt like the wind has left his body.

"Or that time he-"

"That's enough" Katherine said glaring sharply at the two boys causing them both to freeze in place, "we're not even in fifth period yet and you two are already giving Erik a hard time. Erik might have some...general awkwardness, but he's kind, sweet, and charming, any girl would be lucky to have him as a girlfriend."

Henry and Lucas both looked at each other with coy smiles on their faces, "well how about we give you the chance to hook up with her?" Lucas asked before pulling out his phone and showing a message.

[Party tonight at Nicole's? You coming?-Analise]

"What does that have to do with anything?" Katherine asked with a confused expression on her face before finishing her can of coffee.

"Well, I heard that a certain blonde named Madison Bettencourt will be showing up at this particular party. Analise from third period said I could invite friends, so how about the four of us hit the party tonight and see if we can get this guy lucky tonight".

"Tonight…" Erik said before looking down, "umm, I kind of have a family thing tonight".

"Come on! Can't you skip it?" Henry said with a sigh moving some hair from his face.

"Yeah, you spend a lot of time with your family doing religious stuff, can't you just skip it this one time and go to a party?" Lucas asked.

"Shockingly, I agree with the boys here" Katherine said to the shock of Erik, "you spend so much time with your family, don't you think you could be a normal high school student for once? I mean, it's just one night". While the two boys couldn't understand the dual-meaning of her words, they were happy that she agreed with them.

"You see babe, that's why I love you" Henry said with a laugh.

"I'll remember that" Katherine said rolling her eyes.

"Alright so come over, my place after school and we'll get you party ready" Lucas said snapping his fingers with a arrogant smile.

Erik scratched his right cheek nervously, "Umm, well-"

"He'll be there, I'll see to it" Katherine said with a smile as she wrapped her hands around Erik's head. The bell for class then ringed, causing the group to disperse to their separate classes.

.

.

.

"Our children seem to be improving" Lady Sinclair said with a smile as she looked at their progress charts.

"Barely" Lord Sinclair stated, earning another glared from his wife.

"You push them too hard"

"Or maybe I don't push them enough. If they have time for schools and careers, then they should have more than enough time to study their magic. Brandon and Nicole are both tied, they both possess three pillars, while Allison only possesses two. However none of them have been able to communicate with their ancestors of the past or showcase mastery over white magic, also known as the magic to call forth light in the darkness. They are powerful children but none of them are ready to become Regent of this clan".

Lady Sinclair rolled her eyes, "Oh right, I forgot to tell you earlier, but your package came".

At this Aereys Sinclair's face lit up, "Oh right, the skeleton of that irregularly shaped Earth dragon came today. I forgot all about it. The church wanted me to study it in my private chambers before sending them a report".

"Don't they have their own team of anthropologists and scientists to handle things like this?" Aria Sinclair said with a annoyed expression on her face, "they always like to fill our manor with their junk, their swords, experimentations, beasts, and whatnot. Why don't they just store all these things in their church laboratories?"

In the Sinclair family, it was also abundantly obvious that Aereys Sinclair was much more religious than his wife.

"Because, sometimes they want a more experienced and trained anthropologist to examine their findings. I'll work on it tonight and send the report in tomorrow then in a few days those bones will be gone, taken to some other anthropologist to examine. It's quite a simple matter".

"Alright" Aria said with a huff, "also, I heard that our children have a very important mission planned tonight, a assignment given to them directly from the church".

"Of course, they've been tasked with hunting a vampire that has been spotted on several occasions around England. This particular vampire has been draining the blood of humans in the local area and has even caused a few undeads to spring up. If we annihilate the vampire then those undeads will return to normal, a very simple mission if you ask me" Lord Aereys explained, "I told Erik that after his school activities to go to the church for some equipment and then to meet his siblings for scouting. Brandon and Nicole both decided to take the day off and after Allison's studies she will leave with them".

.

.

.

The school day went by as quickly as it had came, and Erik found himself walking behind Katherine, a playful smile on her face as she skipped happily to his friend's Lucas's house. She turned around to see the nervous expression on Erik's face causing her to playfully nudge him.

"Will you relax? Everything will be fine. Besides, you're not much of a fighter anyways so your siblings will do fine without you".

"You don't understand" Erik said with a sigh, "your family is much less spiritual than mines, your parents are perfectly fine with you living a normal human life, going to parties, not hunting down blood-craving vampires and strays. However, my dad's going to blow a gasket when he realizes I'm not with my siblings".

"It'll be fine, your siblings will probably assume you had some other business to take care of, they'll slay that vampire, and probably not mention this hiccup to your father. Besides, Nicole and Brandon will probably scold you themselves and then the matter will be over with. But you'll get to hook up with the one, the only Madison Bettencourt, you'll be a legend around school, no scratch that, the entire city of London will remember your name" Katherine said outstretching her hands.

"It's not that big of a deal…" Erik said with a sigh.

"Besides, it's about time you broke out of your shell and start drifting away from that supernatural stuff. How do you plan to become a well-rounded, functional adult, if you're so shy all the time, and you're too afraid to step out from under your father's thumb. You need this, dude" Katherine said with a smile.

"Yeah, I guess you're right" Erik said, caving in to his friend's demand.

"Cool, now let's go get ready!" Katherine pumped her fist in the air before walking faster leaving Erik behind.

"Wait Katherine, wait for me" Erik said, "Katherine, slow down!" he said, running behind his friend.

[Present]

"Wait a second…" Lorenzo said, staring at the two Sinclair magicians, "how do you know about the parts you weren't there for?"

"Erik gave us a extensive background of events" Nicole stated with her arms crossed, turning away from the exorcist.

Brandon then smiled, deciding to take over, "anyways, now that my sister is done boring you with the background details, this is where things really began to take off."

Nicole glared at her brother but then decided to simply wave off his maturity, allowing him to speak.

"Ugh! Where the hell is he?" Brandon moaned as he leaned against the church's steps. He angrily glanced at his watch one last time to see it striked 6 p.m. in the afternoon. "That loser is a hour late".

"Brandon, please be patient, I'm sure there's a logical explanation for this. He probably got held up at school or maybe something came up. Did you try calling him?" Nicole said, looking between her brother and sister, in a attempt to be the voice of reason.

"I did call, six times" Brandon said with a annoyed expression as he looked at his phone one more time and pressed the call button, after several rings it went to voicemail, "now seven".

"I'm so going to bust his balls when I see him" Allison said with a sadistic smile, cracking her knuckles.

"We should start the investigation without him" Brandon claimed as he clenched his fists.

"I think you're right, we don't need to tell father, I'll be sure to give him a stern talking to later" Nicole said with a serious expression, "alright now what would Erik have us do in this situation?"

"Well usually...he's the one that puts the M.O. together for us" Allison said holding up a folder, containing all the information on the vampire they were hunting.

"He has been nicknamed the Pub Stalker by the church. According to his M.O. he usually attacks young women walking outside bars and pubs. He then drains them dry, and leaves their bodies behind allies or dumpsters" Nicole explained reading the file.

"What a shit bag" Allison said.

"I agree" Brandon said, "so what should we do, Master Chief?"

Nicole paused as she looked between her two siblings, "um, maybe we should check all the bars and pubs".

"In London? There's like thousands, that's like finding a needle in a haystack" Brandon stated.

"Have any better idea?" Nicole said with a angrily glare.

A light bulb then went off in Allison's head and she snatched the file from her sister before she scanned it, "the exorcists who investigated before us did some interviews, the women were always attacked in the Brixton area, so maybe we should just set up some bait for the vampire in this area".

"That's still like a dozen pubs he hasn't attacked. Still a needle in the haystack" Brandon stated before he turned back towards the church, "most of the exorcists are gone for the night, either on missions or at home so it's not like we can set up a exorcist at every bar".

"You don't have to" the three siblings paused as they turned around to see a tall and muscular man in his late 30s with long black hair, that reaches his neck, and emotionless gray eyes At his side sat the hilt of a light sword and he was dressed in a plain black v-neck sweater and pale blue jeans.

"Christopher? What are you doing at the church?" Nicole questioned.

Christopher Evans, also known as "Reaper of the Sinclair Family" was a top-tier exorcist trained by Lord and Lady Sinclair to be the protector of the Sinclair Family, while technically being a family servant, he was tied to both the church and the Sinclair family.

"I just returned from my vacation to Italy. It was quite therapeutic, slayed a werewolf along the way" the man said with a emotionless expression, "where's Erik? If you three are going out on a hunt he should be with you, I doubt Lord Aereys would send you three alone on a mission."

"He's umm busy" Nicole stated, "but what did you mean by you won't have to?" Nicole asked.

"Well, this particular vampire you've been hunting, I've been studying his pattern for quite a while now, while he attempts to mix up his movement, you can create some sort of pattern when you look at the pubs he attacks in the Brixton area. I believe that if you follow my layout he will attack either Commercial, Crown and Anchor, or Florence tonight" Christopher explained still maintaining his cold and expressionless persona.

"Hmmm, so that means we will have to split up" Brandon stated with a sigh.

"Alright, Nicole you take Florence, Brandon you take Commercial, and I'll take Crown and Anchor" Allison said with a smile, however the group paused as the three MUCH older exorcists stared at her with blank expressions.

"You're way to you to get into any pub Allison" Nicole said with a serious expression.

It was then a huge grin appeared on Allison's face, "don't worry, I have this" she stated, holding up a fake I.D. that was quickly snatched from her hand.

She turned towards Christopher who had snatched the fake I.D. from her hand but instantly turned away after being given the legendary "Reaper's Glare that pierces 1,000 Hearts" before letting out a nervous laugh.

"Brandon, you will take Commercial, Nicole will take Florence, and me and this little one right here will take Crown & Anchors, but she won't be taking a foot into a pub. Just be on the lookout for anyone suspicious, if you run into some trouble then call, and remember, this could be the night you finally put down a high-class vampire".

Brandon and Nichole both nodded excitedly, this was the kind of mission that could help in their future as Regent of their coven, putting down a vampire that was terrorizing their coven's home was something very few magicians or exorcists ever pulled off in their lifetime. It was especially important that this went off successfully. The three groups then split up, going their separate ways.

Before they even entered the house, Erik and his friends could already hear the loud, pulsating music from the front lawn, it was a good thing the house was a bit secluded away from the other houses or else they would have to worry about the cops being called.

Before they could ring the doorbell, Henry stepped in front of his friends and turned towards them with a dramatic smile, "are you ready, for the most important night of your junior year?" he said as if he was mimicking a sports announcer, Erik and Lucas both chuckled while Katherine rolled her eyes and ringed the doorbell.

There was a brief moment of silence before the door opened up, revealing a very athletic looking girl with long black hair and stunning blue eyes, she was dressed in a black dress, showcasing her curves.

"Hey Analise" Lucas said with a wave causing Henry and Katherine to snicker while Erik stood with a confused expression on his face.

"Oh hey, you guys are a bit early, the party hasn't really started yet, it's just me and Nicole right now" the girl known as Analise said, moving some of her black hair from her face. From the small drops of sweat on her face, plus the wrinkles in her dress, it was obvious that she had been dancing.

"Oh" Erik said blinking in surprise, "we can come back later if you-"

Before Erik could speak anymore Henry playfully jabbed him in the stomach causing all the air to escape his pipes.

"Haha, it's cool, why don't you guys come hang with us and wait for everyone else to arrive" Analise said with a smile.

Analise led the four inside, to a wooden table where another girl with peach blonde hair and orange eyes sat, drinking her way through a bottle of Bombay Sapphire and Ice.

The five took a seat at the table with smiles on their faces, "so how did you convince your parents to let you have this party?" Erik asked.

"Cough, cough, Erik, please stop talking" Henry mumbled to his clueless friend.

"Well, it's the second week of our junior year, plus my parents were out of town for the weekend so why not have a party to commemorate such a special occasion" Nicole said with a laugh as she poured herself another drink.

Before the group could engage in anymore small talk there was another knock at the door, after five minutes of mingling, the room then began to flood with dozens of people. "Woah, I didn't think this many people would show, especially to a junior party" a random boy said.

"Well, I decided to invite the sophomores, because the seniors blew me off, such elitist assholes, but the freshmen aren't coming" Nicole said.

Henry then began to smile as he shuffled through Nicole's music list looking for some decent songs he would enjoy, "oh by the way, my brother's best friend's cousin, DJ Kline, is going to come play for us, he's a DJ after all".

"Cool, I love that guy" Lucas said with a wide grin. Overtime the house began to flood with more and more people causing Henry to increase the volume of the music speakers.

"You having fun" Katherine said to Erik with a smile.

"I didn't think there would be so many people here...nor that there would be alcohol" Erik stated as he looked around at the people with drinks in their hands.

"It's not so bad, don't be such a bore" Katherine said with a smile, "besides, your princess has arrived".

Lucas and Henry both began to laugh with Henry wrapping his arm around Erik's neck. Henry turned Erik's head to her direct and there he saw the girl who was the reason for him being dragged to this party.

Madison Bettencourt. She had long straight platinum blonde hair and stunning bright honey brown eyes. She stood at 5'4 and had a very athletic frame, which was expected considering she was a member of the track team. However she still held a very curvy and busty figure, that instantly attracted others to her.

Overall she was one of the top 10 in athletics, top 5 in looks, and top 3 in academics of the junior class. It was no wonder she was so popular.

And surprisingly despite all the eyes in the room, her eyes fell on Erik Sinclair and she waved to him with a bright smile.

"Dude, she's totally giving you the bedroom eyes" Henry said with a snort.

"Don't be a pig" Katherina said to her friend before turning back to Erik, "you should go talk to her, she obviously wants to get to know you".

"Umm, I don't know, I'm not really prepared for this" Erik said nervously, while his friends had dragged him to this party strictly to get him to date Madison, he never actually expected to be presented with the opportunity to do it, especially at a party this big with the music this loud.

"Bro, drink this" Lucas said pushing a drink into Erik's hand, Erik took one sniff and he could instantly tell it was some sort of alcoholic drink in nature, "just some liquid courage to get you through the night" Lucas said with a laugh before taking a swig of his own drink.

Lucas and Henry both grabbed Erik's hands and led him straight up to Madison, and Erik could feel his heart start beating rapidly as his face began to turn a slight tint of pink from embarrassment, "Hey Maddison" Lucas said with a cheery smile.

"Hey guys" Madison said with a smile, waving to the three boys.

"This is my friend Erik, I've been telling you about, he was hoping to get to know you better" Lucas said as he sat Erik in the chair next to her before giving Erik a wink.

"Well how about we leave you two love birds here to get acquainted" Henry said with a joking laugh as he fist bumped Lucas before walking away.

"Wow, you have some really good friends" Madison said with a bright smile, flashing Erik her brilliant white teeth.

"Haha, yeah...I'm really sorry about this" Erik said.

"Don't be" Madison said, "actually I've been pretty interested in you".

"You have?" Erik was quite dumbfounded, surprised that someone as popular as her would even pay attention to someone like him.

"Yeah, from what I heard, you're on track to be class's valedictorian when we graduated, and you got accepted into a dozen of Universities around the world. You have brains and beauty" Madison said with a laugh.

Erik's face turned red but he instantly turned away to look at the crowd of people dancing.

"It's kind of loud down here, you want to go to Analise's guest room, it's much quieter upstairs" Madison stated as she stood up and grabbed Erik's hand.

"Umm, sure, why not" Erik said with a laugh as Madison led him upstair.

Henry, Katherine, and Lucas looked at each other with cheerful faces as they watched the two walked up stairs, "I can't believe that actually worked" Katherine said, crossing her arms.

"Dude" Henry and Lucas both said at the same time, high fiving each other with cocky laughs.

"I just recieved word from Brandon and Nicole, the vampire we're hunting hasn't made contact all night, I think we're going to call it for today" Christopher said after he stepped outside the pub and walked across the street to Allison.

"I can't believe you made a fifteen year old girl sit outside a pub all night" Allison said crossing her arms, "what kind of monster are you".

"The monster who doesn't encourage his boss's youngest daughter to drink" Christopher said.

"Seriously, I've been sitting here for two hours, I was starting to think you hooked up in there, what's wrong, the women didn't fancy that hypnotic American accent of yours?" Allison teased with a smile.

"Let's go" Christopher said tugging on Allison's arm forcing her to stand. The two then began to call a taxi when they noticed a girl stumbling out of the pub, clearly drunk.

On it's own, that wasn't particularly interesting, but the two men following her were. "Were they inside the pub?" Allison asked curiously.

"Yeah" Christopher said, waving the taxi driver away. "Let's follow them to be sure."

.

.

.

"Wow Erik, I can't believe you really plan to leave your family behind to go to school in a completely different country. Are you kind of nervous?" Maddison asked, sitting on the opposite side of the bed with her legs crossed to Erik.

"I know the transition will be hard, but I've always had my heart set on studying in Japan, I've been learning Japanese for a while now, and my French is particularly good".

"Ma chérie, que penserais-tu d'un partenaire qui te rejoindrait en france?" Maddison asked, in perfect French, leaning her face closer to Erik's.

"Oh um, je serais bien avec ça. C'est toujours bien d'avoir un ami haha." Erik said nervously. However before he could move his face away, Madison grabbed his head and pulled him into a kiss.

Erik had never kissed a girl before. And he felt his entire face light up at the tingling sensation in his mouth. He moved his hands back only for Madison to grab his hands and place them on her hips. "Now relax" she said as she pushed him into another kiss and pinned him to the bed.

Erik couldn't help but moan in shock when her tongue made contact with his neck before leading him to a few more passionate kissed, "Hey Erik, will you do me a favor".

"Umm sure…" Erik said, his face blushing in shock.

"Will you let me have a little taste of you?"

It was then he felt sharp fangs making contact with his neck.

...

"AHHHHHH!" Madison fell out of the bed causing Erik to instantly jump up and head for the door. "It burns, why does it burn?"

'She must be the vampire…' Erik then broke the leg off the wooden chair and pointed it straight at Madison's chest, directly right next to her heart.

Madison felt her vision get blurry but she turned back to Eric in a daze, to see him still holding the stake, "why the hell does your blood burn?"

"I'm from the Sinclair family, my blood has small traces of light in it because of the Sinclair family magic" Erik explained, "I might not be able to use any magic myself but I still carry the holy properties of my family".

"Damn it, damn it, damn it" Madison exclaimed with extreme anger and disgust as small traces of smoke burned her lips.

"So you're the vampire my brother and sisters were hunting tonight? The one who has been murdering young women right?" Erik said pressing the stake closer to her heart, prepared to kill her.

"No you moron" Madison stated, her formerly sweet voice replaced by anger and a more bossy tone, "I'm from the Naberius Clan, my father is the uncle of Empress Naberius".

"Naberius Clan?" Erik questioned.

The Naberius Clan, one of the remaining clans after the 72 Pillars, the Marquis clan, allied with both the Gremory Clan and Phenex Clan. Despite their high amount of wealth and social power, they are supposedly very exclusive in the Underworld, choosing to live away from other clans in the 72 Pillar.

"That's a pretty ridiculous claim, you got any evidence to prove it?" Erik stated angrily as he peered his eyes at the girl.

"If you release my hand, I can show you" Madison stated. Erik loosened a bit, allowing her to move her hand freely, she placed her hand over her mouth and small glowing crystal-like objects of light began to drop harmlessly to the ground.

"So this is the famous Naberius Clan ability known as Aspect. The ability to remove properties or aspects from any object" Erik stated as he loosen and allowed her to get up.

"While my family has made it their job to hunt devils like you, I don't really care for it at the moment. Can you please explain to me what you're doing here?" Erik asked.

Madison picked herself up and cleaned her hair and clothing before taking a seat on the bed, "Have a seat, and I'll explain everything to you."

Erik shrugged his shoulders before taking a seat on the bed, "Alright, I'm ready when you're ready".

"How long do you expect us to follow these guys? They haven't done anything" Allison said with a sigh, while she was having a more difficult time staying in the shadows as they followed the two strange men, she was obviously getting bored. While Brandon and Nicole were already making their way to their home, she was here with Christopher following two unknown and random men halfway across London, from her own perspective.

Christopher turned towards Allison with a cold expression, she was right and he knew this, "I agree, we should pack it in right now".

The two turned around and began to walk away when suddenly a woman with long curly brown hair approached the two, "excuse me" she said with a bright smile.

"Can I help you?" Allison said cautiously, she didn't know why, but she felt creeped out by the lady. Christopher sensing Allison's uneasiness turned towards the lady with caution.

"I just wanted to marvel at how adorable you are" the woman said with a bright smile, "what's your name little cutie".

Allison stepped back from the woman's hand, "the name is Allison, and I'm not "a little cutie" I'm 15 years old, didn't your parents teach you some manners?"

The woman didn't even seem phased by this, "Allison, as in Allison Sinclair if I'm correct".

Christopher lunged forward with a punch only for the woman to push her hand forward and in a blink of an eye he flew back into the wall of a building.

Allison looked into the woman's eyes to see a strange glowing green aura around her eyes, "congratulations sweetie, a Sinclair is exactly what I've been looking for" she said with a smile. Allison was about to attack but before she could, she felt a syringe connect to her neck and the world around her began to get darker as her body grew heavier and she collapsed in the woman's hand.

The sadistic woman smiled as she flung a trio of fire balls at Christopher who had just started to recover, he swiftly rolled out of the way and tried to run towards the woman with a light pistol drawn, however before he could attack black smoke began to fill the allay.

"A Sinclair is just what I needed to complete my work tonight, thanks for the prize sweetie" was the last voice Christopher heard before the smoke cleared and the woman, including Allison were both gone.

[Present]

"So Allison was kidnapped by a witch" Simon said with a look of concern in his eye.

"But why didn't you contact the church for back up? Instead you ignored orders and continued the hunt for this "witch" without any proper orders.

Brandon let out a laugh, "oh please, by the time back up would've came, Allison would've been dead and we would be dealing with a witch wielding a army of the dead plus a holy sword".

Before Father Edward could retort Simon put his hand in the air, "do you have any proof of this?" he asked calmly with a hint of concern in his voice.

"Yes" Nicole said confidently, "because it was our little brother who was able to discover what we were dealing with."

And that concludes this chapter. Any thoughts? I thought it would be cool to start off with a bang rather than a whimper. Well, things are about to change for Erik in the next chapter. And until next time, bye.
