A long silence followed Hagrid's story. Then the door to the Three Broomsticks opened and a figure with a silver haze around her walked in. But despite this she was very recognizable, especially to the Professors and Madam Rosmerta.
"Lily?" Professor McGonagall said, with a slight quiver in her voice. "H-how? How are you here? You died years ago!"
Harry, who was still under the table, slid back up into his seat to get a better view. It was amazing! His mother had returned from the dead!
The door opened again and another ghost entered.
"Oh yeah! We're back in business!" He exclaimed, stretching his arms out wide.
"James," Lily said, turning to her husband "That's not funny."
"Well," it was Fudge who spoke this time. "It may be funny, It may be hilarious but it still doesn't explain how you're back from the dead."
"Ah yes well, we came back willingly. We'd like to share with you the true version of the story you have just heard.
"...and that's the truth." James said after Lily had finished. "Now if you'll excuse me I need to catch up with my son and introduce him to the man he is supposed to have been raised by." "And I've got to go catch up with Remus, it'll be such a shock for him!"
Lily left the Three Broomsticks and James, instead of following her went, to the shock of the group, to the table behind the Christmas tree...
