Her arms spread out wide as she balanced on the edge of the rooftop, strands of green blowing into her face. Each step made a clack-clack-clack, but that was just her heels stepping on steel and concrete, occasionally missing a step and eventually they stopped all together, ending in a low crescendo of two falling floral prints.

[shoes plus concrete equals perfect break away]

Dress hems fluttered up in the air, the pale blue pattern trying to blend with the sky and Nel twirled on the balance of civilization. She laughed into the sky, feeling his hands come to grip her from behind, two fingers curling into her hair as her voice mingled with the air.

This was her domain.

[and he was just a visitor]

Red on green nails reached out to graze a surface, one reaching to the sky while another came over to him, tangling themselves in his long black hair, running over the pale surface of his skin.

"Touchin' me a'ain?"

His voice, a pitch away from a growl, vibrated her hands and all she did was smile that pretty white smile of hers. That's all she had to do. Nelliel didn't have to do anything else; that snarl on his face would go away in due time and then he would scowl and snort and look away from her.

And that's exactly what he did. His jawline-mmm, how she'd love to kiss that- his eyes with their thin brows settled into the familiar creases, but her fingers didn't leave his face, even as his tightened in hers.

"Can you not?"

He snorted.

"I'll do tha' fuck I want."

"Nnoi-love, you ought to be nicer. After all-" She wiggled her toes, air rushing through them, her threat left unsaid but dangling alongside her legs in the air. "I mean, I'll try so hard to,like, not, but I mean, all it takes is one little push..."

Nnoitra snorted and Nelliel laughed, her feet still kicking over the edge of glory, time ticking away into a pause.

And it was like that for a moment out of eternity, silent laughter and quiet irritation that came out only with tangling fingers in hair. But it lasted for only a second out of forever and then time began again, the hands on the clock matching the speed of their own. Green hair became displaced while black shirts were discarded and flower print wilted and markings were made. His snarls returned, and her laughter followed again, her lips in a smile that dangled on her lips long after he'd pulled her away from the edge.

Nelliel's legs still kicked over the edge, the skin chilled with the late morning air, her feet again testing the boundaries [but she wasn't really sure of what; because she had Death before her, but then she had it's brother beside her and both were options to tease] while he scowled.

"Don' tease me. It 'nly takes a push."

And she grinned again.
