Antauri was awake, but he lay still with his eyes closed; soaking in the sounds of the meadow. Crickets chirping, birds singing, baby tree rats crying for the first time. A river nearby playing its song of splashes and babbles. An arm lay across his waist and chest, and a body snuggled up close to him. He felt the body shift and move away from him. He then heard sounds of something moving around in the tent. He felt a presence over him. Something soft was pressed to his lips; a kiss, which he lovingly returned. He opened his eyes and saw just who he expected; a beautiful purple katuri with brilliant eyes by the name of Nightshade.

"Good morning." She nuzzled his nose affectionately.

"Good morning." He nuzzled back.

"Did you sleep well?" She laid next to him and snuggled.

"Yes, what about you?" He wrapped his arms around her.

"I always sleep well in your arms." She smiled.

"I bet you're happy to finally sleep on your stomach again." He smiled.

"Very."

Strange noises began coming from a basket across the tent. Nightshade got up and walked on all fours over to the basket and nuzzled whatever was inside. Antauri also got up and nuzzled what was inside. Inside the basket were two baby monkey/cat hybrids, sleeping soundly. One was lavender furred and the other was black furred. They were so little, not even a month old. The baby's opened their eyes sleepily and yawned.

"Good morning, Salem, Mystery." Antauri smiled.
