Late at night while in his castle, Najarin was reading a new book he got recently. It cost him an arm and a leg, but it was worth it. The book was over 500 solans old and Najarin had to be careful when handling it.

Taking his eyes off the page he was reading, he looked over at his desk. There was a piece that use to be apart of something made a long time ago, even older than the book he was reading.

The piece was made of a metal that Najarin couldn't identify nor could he figure out what the shard use to be.

It was fond a few days ago in a ruin not too far from the boarders between the Overworld and Mipadian territories. Najarin, was able to obtain possession of the item by pulling some strings and calling in favors. He hated all the trouble he went through, but he knew he had to get it before someone made note of the strange symbol on it.

Going back to his reading, Najarin momentarily forgot about the ancient artifact until his visitor finally made it to his home.

As the man wearing a white robe and a golden mask materialized inside the study, Najarin looked up from his book and greeted his guest.

"I was beginning to think my message didn't get through to you Codemasters." Najarin said, then went back to reading his book.

"Yes, well we had a meeting before I was sent to retrieve the artifact from you." Codemaster Tirasis said, then looked down at the desk with the item on it. "Is this it?" he asked, pointing to it.

"Yes it is. Though I'm sure you already know this, since it has your Chaotic symbol on it." Najarin said, dryly as he flipped to the next page of the book. "I am curios as to what it is and why it was fond in a ruin that dates back over a 2,000 solans ago. I believe that would equal a 1,000 years by human time."

Tirasis didn't say anything. He just picked up the piece of metal and used his scanner to scan it. Once he was done he put the item in his pocket for safe keeping.

"I don't know why there would be something this old with our symbol on it." The Codemaster said. "It's one of those many mysteries in Perim that can't be solved."

Najarin closed his book and looked up sharply at the Codemaster.

"You know I went through a lot of trouble getting that for you and you repay me with lies?" Najarin asked, sounding very unpleased.

"Forgive me Master Najarin. I didn't mean to upset you." Tirasis apologized, bowing his head. "I and the other Codemasters owe you a great debt for obtaining this item and keeping its secrets from coming to light. I wish I could tell you more, but the others will not be happy of me for what I have already said to you."

"You are forgiven. But next time if I ever find an artifact that belongs to Chaotic, I expect to be informed more of its history." Najarin said. "Now leave. I have other things to do besides talking to you."

"Yes, of course. Goodbye Najarin, I hope we will have the chance to speak some more in the future." he said, then transported back to Chaotic.

Najarin went back to reading, not thinking another thought about Chaotic or the history it has with Perim.
