Bonnie quickly wiped the remaining tears from her cheeks as she took a seat on her bed. Once she settled down she pulled her phone from her pocket. She had her cellphone company reactivate her old phone, and to her surprise they were able to recover some of her old voicemails. She had listened to the ones from Jeremy, but there was one she kept skipping over. She took a deep breath and allowed Damon's voice to play through her speaker.

"That's it? That's your outgoing message, really? The one time I'm actively seeking the sound of your voice that's all I get? Perfect. Anyway, I'm in your room which is a lot less weird than it sounds, but I just wanted to say that because of what you did for me today's the day that I get to see Elena. So, thank you. And I'm sorry. Other than that I don't know what to say. Or what I'm suppose to say, except that defiany all possible global scenarios I might miss you a little bit. Ooo, hey I got to go."

When the automated voice announced the end of her messages, Bonnie was once again a rollercoaster of emotion. Damon had actually missed her. He wanted to hear her voice, and now that his message had ended she found herself wanting there to be more. She looked around at the empty room. Part of her wished that she had forgiving Damon and told him to stay. She didn't want to be alone anymore. In a few short clicks her phone was dialing his number.

"You've reached Damon. You know what to do."

Bonnie fought back the tears that sprung to her eyes when he didn't answer. "Why am I not surprised that you choose that to be your outgoing message?" she asked jokingly. "I guess I just wanted to tell you I got your message. You know the one you left me after you, uh, got back." suddenly feeling shy, she paused.

"I'm sorry. I know you're trying to get your mom back, but I can't see him not after everything. And I guess I wanted to tell you that I liked our friendship in that world. You're not a bad guy, Damon." she paused again, this time to wipe away a lone tear. "And as crazy as this sounds, I miss you."

She clicked end and let the phone drop to the floor along with her tears.
