December 21st, 1901, Mount Olympus
While the Gods and Goddesses celebrated in the throne room, one lone goddess sat in her room, quite sad. The Winter Solstice was a time when the gods and goddesses' children from all over the world came to Olympus. That goddess was the only goddess who could never have children, this goddess was of course Artemis, Goddess of The Hunt, Wilderness, Childbirth, Chastity, Maidenhood, and The Moon. She sat on her bed (because the gods have to sleep to) and thought about what her daughter would be like. Little did she know her thoughts were being heard by none other than the goddess Athena. Though Athena was a virgin goddess she could have children through her thoughts. Being the goddess of wisdom she had a solution for Artemis, but she could only do it once, but Athena cared for her sister and decided that it was worth it. She snuck out of the throne room and walked to Artemis' Room. She walked in and saw Artemis stting on her bed, she approached her younger sister and stood in front of her.
"I have a solution for you sister" she said and Artemis looked up.
" A solution for what" the younger goddess asked.
"You want a child, correct" asked Athena.
"Wait how did you- Yes I do" she said smiling at the end a bit.
"I will give you a gift, but you must go away so father doesn't find out" Athena said and Artemis nodded.
"Tha sas doso to doro ton skepseon, to chrisimopoioun tora kai ena paidi tha erthei, min to apothikefsete I na prepei na chathei" chanted Athena. (Translation: I give you the gift of thoughts, use it now and a child shall come, do not save it or it will be lost). "Now think about the person you love" Athena said and Artemis thought about the one man who had ever gained her affections. She opened her eyes and felt different. "Go Artemis, go now, go to the godless land" said Athena and within seconds Artemis was gone. She walked back into the throne room and Apollo gave her a knowing look. She was sure that Zeus would realize what she had done in a few days, but it was worth it. Other gods and goddesses thought that Athena would never break a rule, not even for family., most of the time that was correct, but Artemis was always one of her favorite siblings. She knew she would get punished by her father eventually, but Apollo wouldn't tell because he had broken many rules that he would hate if it Zeus knew, and Athena knew every single one.
