His eyes stare without seeing, now far away

His last laugh, forever etched on his face.

Prying me off his body, the only way.

Everything moves around us, at a slow pace.

The whole world disappears, only we remain.

He is already gone, but I refuse

To accept the truth, and invite the pain.

I yell, shout, scream, and beg, but it's no use.

All the time we shared, flash by like a show

Filled with happiness, humor, a haven,

But that can't hide the scarlet on the stone.

His life flies from his eyes like a raven.

My best friend, my fav'rite brother, my twin

Gone from this world, to a place without sin.
