He carried her in and laid her on the floor. His demon side was pulsing at the sight of her condition. He walked out and he found a pall so he took it up to the stream and filled it with water. He went back to her. He searched for some kind of cloth to use to wipe her clean then finally he found some rags in the corner of the small hut. He picked up the cleanest one and put in the water. He then gently started to wipe her face off, he held back his anger at the sight of her cheeks turning bluish purple. He knew from the smell of her breath that Naraku forced himself into her mouth. He rinsed off the rag and started to clean her chest and abdomen. The cuts started to become visible and he growled quietly in his chest as the damage became more clear and the horror of what that demon did to his Kagome. He cleaned her legs off trying to clean off all the blood that was on her body. Even though she was unconscious she still cringed when InuYasha gentle wiped her violated area clean, even though there was still blood mixed with his enemy's essence coming out of her slowly.

InuYasha looked at the claw marks and they were deep. There were three marks on each side of her body. They wouldn't stop bleeding. "I have to get her bag she has stuff in it to help her, but I can't leave her. That monster might come back for her." he spoke to himself. He looked down at her he sighed then picked her up and took her with him to get her bag that was still by the well. He ran as fast as he could and once the bag was in sight he picked up without stopping and turned back towards the abandon hut in the woods. He laid her back down on the spot he laid her first. InuYasha searched her bag till he found the first aid kit. He got out some bandages and placed them tightly around her body trying to stop the bleeding. Once she was bandaged up and clean he took of the robe of the fire rat and draped over her body. He sat in the corner and couldn't help it as the tears fell down his face as he cried for her as he watched her sleep.

"InuYasha!" Kagome called out in her sleep. InuYasha looked over at her and notice her face tensing up as her mind replayed what Naraku had done to her. "INUYASHA!" She screamed and she started turning and she looked to be fighting something. InuYasha went over to her side and picked her up to cradle her in his lap. "Shh, Kagome, you are safe now. I'm here! I won't let him do this ever again" He whispered in her ear as she continued to cry out for him and screaming for Naraku to leave her alone. At every scream tore at InuYasha's soul. He hated it and wanted to rip Naraku apart piece by piece for what he done to her.

She finally calmed down when it was nearly sun rise. He started to worry on what this would do to her soul and how will she recover emotionally from this. He realized that maybe Naraku did this to darken her heart and so she couldn't purify him or the jewel. InuYasha watched her fitful sleep.

Kagome opened her eyes the next morning. The first thing she noticed she was warm and felt protective arms cradled around her. She noticed the cream colored fabric of the hanyou she loved wore. She slowly turned up and saw his beautiful amber eyes looking back at her frightened. 'Why is he so scared?' She thought for minute as she stared into his eyes. "InuYasha are you okay?" she asked when she noticed how he was very tense and very cautious as he held her in his lap. 'What she's asking if I'm okay? She is the one who was attacked not me.' "Kagome are you okay?" he asked cautiously. She looked at him for a minute. "I don't know!" she answered honestly. "Do you remember what happened to you?" he asked looking at her tilting his head a little in curiosity. "Yes I think." She said in a sad tone. 'That's right I was attacked by Naraku and he…' She could feel the tenderness between her legs and the pain her body felt from the wounds he inflicted during the attack. Then suddenly the whole event came rushing back and she started to sob. "It's okay Kagome I will never let him near you again." He promised as he kissed the top of her head.

She looked up at him in confusion. 'Did he just kiss my head?' she was so confused by this action she forgot about her injuries and sat up but she froze in pain from her sides. "Don't move your injuries haven't healed yet." InuYasha said with a gentle voice. Kagome lay back down in his lap. She looked up at him in confusion still. "Why did you kiss me?" she questioned his action. "I don't know. I guess because when I found you I thought I was going to lose you and now that you are awake I want you to know how much you truly mean to me. I guess I'm saying…I love you Kagome." he explained. She looked at him in surprise. "You love me?" she asked shyly. "Yes and I'm sorry this happened to you." He answered.

"InuYasha, how can you love me? He ruined me." She turned away from his stare in shame. She felt so dirty and ashamed. "If I didn't look like her he wouldn't have done this to me." She cried quietly. InuYasha heard every word of course and she felt him tense up. "What do you mean "look like her"?" He asked. "Naraku called me...Kikyo." She answered. InuYasha growled deep in his chest at her answer. His eyes began to flash red at the thought of why Naraku had did this. "He said he had longed to do what he did to me since he met her." She added in a small voice. InuYasha held her tighter. "I'm sorry Kagome!" He said as he rested his forehead on the top of her hair. "I'm so very sorry I caused you to get mad at me and make you leave to go back to your time. If I hadn't been so jealous of Koga I would've never let you go on your own. I'm sorry he used you to fulfill his desires and hurt you." He said.

She felt warm tears hit her cheek and she looked up to see him crying for her. She had seen him cry once when he thought she had died from the poison the band of seven gave her. "InuYasha it isn't you to blame it's me not you." She said. He looked at her with disappointment. "Kagome no you are not to blame Naraku is to blame. He is a disgusting demon and will stop at nothing to get what he wants." He protested what she said. He won't allow her to think it was her fault. He will take the blame and allow the punishment eat at him as long as he lives. He held her in his lap while she continued to sob.
