THE RAILWAY SERIES NO. 43
SODOR AND MAINLAND ENGINES
JOHN NOLAND AND THOMAS GROVE
DEAR FRIENDS,
You may remember from Book 20 of our series, there was a little green tank engine named Neil, who took Skarloey to his new railway line. Back in the olden days of Sodor's railway history, Neil was one of the first ever steam locomotives on Sodor, along with his brothers: Angus, (No.1) and Campbell. (No.3) Sadly, they have long since passed on since the first World War when the Fat Controller's railway was established, but their stories live on, through the memories of Skarloey and Rheneas, and through the memories of their own stories, which have been written down by their crews and preserved.
