The first thing Clarke noticed was the smell, which was floral, mixed with disinfectant and bleach. She tried to open her eyes, but when she did everything was dark. A small whimper was released from her mouth, and she started to try and wriggle. Where was she? How did she get here? What was the last thing she remembered?

The last thing she remembered… she remembered Octavia… yelling at eugh Finn. But that didn't help, why did this lead to her not being able to see anything?

Her movements got more frantic, as she got more panicked. "Clarke" a gravelly, rasping voice was beside her, close beside her. She recognized it… but it just made her more confused. "Bellamy?" she replied, making it a question by raising her voice at the end.

"Doctor Griffin, Doc, Nurse anyone, get in her, now" his voice loudly bellowed, and Clarke wanted to cover her ears. "Bellamy?" she repeated. She had so many questions, but everything was making her more confused. She was obviously at a hospital since Bellamy yelled to hospital staff, but that didn't help her confusion.

"Clarke" a whole new voice cried, with obvious relief. "Mom?", Clarke found herself struggling to breathe, she was so confused, but having her mommy there with her made everything slightly better. Her fragrance blocked out the other primary aromas, and suddenly she was just a child again, running into her mother's outstretched arms when she slipped and cut her hand.

"Clarke, you must have a lot of questions, but I'm going to explain everything, just wait until I've finished before you ask them ok?" Clarke nodded, before her mother surprised her and said "Bellamy, you'd probably be better to start off." He cleared his throat, and his wavering voice left him before he started. "Well we were at the club, you were drunk and upset…"

*Bellamy's POV*

He felt really bad. Clarke always had such good banter, but tonight, well tonight he shouldn't have pushed it. He saw how sad she was, let alone how much she'd drunk, but he thought it might cheer her up. Stupid.

After facing Octavia's wrath, she got the group together outside the club and sorted out a plan. Clarke had no money, no phone, too much alcohol in her blood stream, and very high heels. They couldn't leave her out there alone. Octavia had a quick word with the bouncers, who informed her that they saw Clarke stumbling off round the corner, but they haven't seen her since. It was about ten minutes ago now. The group ran round the corner and realised there were so many different directions she could have headed. They split up, mostly into pairs. There was; Raven and Wick, Octavia and Lincoln, Jasper and Monty, Finn and Murphy, finally Bellamy. Everyone else was in pairs, he was dangerous and strong enough to lift Clarke. Plus they all had phones.

Bellamy ran off into his direction, desperate to find her. If anything happened to her, it would be his fault, and he knew it. He felt sick down to his core.

He never stopped flat out sprinting. When the street lights stopped, he had to be happy with his phone light, and calling out Clarke's name. After nearly ten minutes of flat out running, he stumbled upon… a shoe. He picked it up, and was wondering whether it was Clarke's. Dammit, the onetime he actually noticed a pair of shoes and Octavia wasn't with him. He looked round not knowing whether the shoe was relevant or not to his search for Clarke, he decided to look around.

He thought he heard something. There, it was there again. What the fuck was that? He looked further down the alleyway and he thought he saw something. He squinted his eyes, and took a couple more silent steps forward. Then he saw it. He saw her laying on the floor, and him starting to move her blonde hair off of her face and neck. He was caressing her cheek. It made him angry. Very angry. He just ran. It's like he saw red, in five seconds flat he'd reached them, and before the creep had another chance to hurt another hair on her head, or to even look at her head, Bellamy had knocked him out with one swift punch.

Bellamy didn't even feel it. He walked over to where Clarke was laying, and she looked up at him, before he passed out. First of all, he rang for the police and ambulance, then he called Octavia and told her he'd found her, but she needed to come and meet him.

Everyone came, and Octavia dropped to her knees beside Clarke and started crying, the creep was still passed out, but now Lincoln and the guys were crowded round him, daring him to wake up so they had an excuse to hurt the jerk. Bellamy quietly explained what he saw, and everyone was quiet, tears streaming down the girls' faces and the guys' fists were clenching, whilst menacingly looking at the monster before them.

When the ambulance arrived Octavia went to get in it with Clarke, but Bellamy told her he would go instead. As the paramedics checked over her wounds, he glanced down at his shaking hands only just realising that he was still tightly gripping her shoe.

He found her with a shoe, just like the prince found Cinderella. He was her knight in shining armour, the only problem was that it was his fault she had to deal with the monster in the first place, and he wasn't sure he would ever be good enough for her forgiveness. She was his… princess, but it was his fault.

The whole time at the hospital, Bellamy stayed with her, never leaving her side. She'd been unconscious for about seventy two hours, before she woke.

Clarke's POV:

Through the whole time Bellamy was talking, she focused on his voice. Funny how she'd never noticed how nice it was, but I guess heightened senses do that kind of thing to you. She listened to the story, and found his voice made her feel safe. She knew she should be registering what he was saying, but she couldn't. She couldn't remember it, and whilst she felt sick at the thought of it, it just sounded like a nightmare, horrible, but not real.

When he finished she said "so… why can't I see? Am I blind? Oh no, did it damage my eyes? I can't be blind, I'll never paint again! I'll have to let Octavia choose all my clothes! And boyfriends. This isn't ok!" she started off quite quietly, but her voice started to raise in panic.

"Clarke" her mother yelled over her "you aren't blind, you had some minor scratches in your eyes, along with a sprained leg and quiet a strong concussion, along with other various cuts and bruises, but there is gauze around your eyes to help them heal. I can take it off now if you'd like?" Clare nodded.

She heard what sounded like curtains being drawn, and then suddenly there was soft skin against her face, as her mother unwrapped the bandages first, and then removed the gauze after. Clarke slowly blinked, and was able to make out shapes, but not much else due to the restricted light, protecting her eyes from damage.

As the curtains were moved slightly open, she saw the details of the room, and of her body. There were lots of scrapes, and needles, and bandages, and flowers. Lilies. Her favourites.

She looked around the room and finally looked at her mom, "so, why can't I remember any of it?"

PLEASE REVIEW IT GIVES ME HEAPS OF MOTIVATION! THANK YOU THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY REVIEWED, EVEN THE SMALLEST ONES MAKE MY DAY. Write anything, I just want to know what you guys are thinking! Also thanks to those who have followed/favorite, it's nice to know I'm doing something right! I have not experienced or studied rape (or attempted rape), or the psychological problems that follow it, so although I will do my best to write this accurately, I do not wish to upset anyone with an inaccurate representation. If I do I can only say that I'm sorry, and I don't mean for it to be insulting. Also, no two reactions are the same.

I'm not sure if I explained it very well, but this is how Bellamy is going to start calling Clarke princess, because of the whole Cinderella thing. Some might think it is odd, because it is a reference to the attempted rape, but I'm using it because, I find it to be a reference to him saving Clarke, (and also her hair.) Let me know what you think! Hope you've enjoyed!
