Coffee time was always noisy and crowded. Wooden tables floods of asses seated at the chairs did not help to a "greenie" feel at home. Alicia was there, still. A piece of bread almost untouched in the hands indicating how much she looked worried. When the box came up, it was so. A year ago she was the only girl at the Glade and now there were dozens of them. Lizzie and Chuck were by her side, eating some kind of weird pancakes with chocolate. The blond hair of her friend was so shiny that it dazzled the sun. Think about an amazing girl: That's Lizzie. Hot, tall, long legs, green eyes, all that Allie wasn't. She was the second girl, the next after herself and all the boys tried to catch her attention. She's with Alby now, thank's to God.

Why? You might be asking yourself. Why's Alicia so glad about someone being with Alby? She would hate to remember, but, now that Newt is outside bringing another Greenie to the flock, it was impossible to her to just forget about everything that happened when she came to there. The first girl. Always the first girl

That day was terrible. After coming out to the box and being presented to the freaking annoying Newt, the brunette was forced to follow him into some kind of tour around the camps. He seemed to be as angry as her with the situation. You know, almost fifty guys staring at you and not exactly at your face, it's disturbing for me and obviously for him too. Actually, Newty barely looked at me, nor a single peep.

- Here we have the Track-hoes. - Pointing to the side, Newt indicated a group of boys taking care of a kind of orchard. They used hoes and digging the earth firmly. – You're not one of them, for sure.

- What? – Feeling offended, Allie took a look straight to these dark eyes almost the same as hers and brought a grin to light. – What do you know about me?

- I know you shuck-face is a girl and girls are bloody weak. That's it.

- I hate you so much.

- Thank's. – He winked. How could this boy get so annoying. God! – Well, now, there are the Blood House.

- Let me guess, - With her arms crossed around her chest, she cut his speech. – That's your "bloody house".

-Ha-HA-Ha. - OK, she could recognize a sarcastic laugh when she heard one. And there it is, the fucking ridiculous smirk. – Did you think that by yourself or have elves just now around you?

- The only one I can see is right in front of me. – Allie had to recognize. When she simply let the words escape, thought she was receiving a slap, at the least. Nothing happened. Newt came up and raised his hand to the light brown face of hers, but instead of a slap, he stroked her cheek.

- What are you doing? - Suddenly, Alicia understood what was happening and pulled his hand away. He grinned, of course.

- Making you hate me.

- Nice shot. I already do.

- Then, let's continue. – Walking by a little bit, Newt took her to the kitchen. Well, that was a good place to stay: large, clean, full of food. – Frypan isn't being around for a while; he's the Keeper of the Cooks and rules this place. - Moving comfortably to the side, the blond boy ran his fingers over a bag full of what looked like nuts and threw some into his mouth, then still chewing, offered a handful to the newcomer. She accepted, grateful that someone thought about her hungry. – This is also where you will probably working in.

Alicia gasped more than once. The guy was unpredictable! – We got a gender problem here.

- Nop, - Newt said, his accent hurt in my head. – I'm just rational.

-Oh, yeah, a sexist reasoning.

Shrugging, the blonde walked to the door and, without a word, left. WAIT, HE JUST LEFT HER ALONE IN A FREAKING KITCHEN? Alicia ran out and found a smiling and victorious Newt leaning against the outside wall of the kitchen. – Just as I said: Rational. You're such a cry baby.

-I-I'm not a…

-Slim it! Let's go.

As long as they were walking by, Allie realized how much Newt was taller than her. The shoulders were firm, end to end, each line of the muscles seemed unshakable. That rust-colored shirt highlighted the white tone of his skin, so different from hers that had that automatic annoying tan. – Here, the baggers! – A small group of guys waved to her without any sort of happiness. Allie sighed, it would be harder than she thought. – They're our cops. Take care of the dead bodies.

- Dead… What?

-It's not the time for that. Later.

- People are easy killed here?

- I said later. - Quickly, he pressed his index finger against her lips to silence her.

-You're so annoying.

- You're loving that. – Another smirk.

- Argh! – She knew. He was acting like this only because of those boys around. They all were laughing and making fun of her. Terrible. – There, Greenie. There are the bloody hell runners.

What was his problem with all this British bullshit?

- Now I know something about myself. – She said without even turning her head for the one who Newt called runners. For a moment, the boy's eyebrow shot up and he seemed mildly interested. – I might be American. - Maybe he did not wait for this. After all, again, instead of receiving a beating, as expected, Alicia won a cynical smile, but impressed.

- The runners, Greenie. All those shuck right there. – She didn't know yet what the hell was a shuck. But, in will of not fighting anymore with the unfortunate boy, Alicia decided to look at the guys sitting a few feet away.

- What exactly they do?

- They run?!

- I'm serious!

- I was expecting you to be.

- Have I said I hate you?

- Few, but I believed in none. - Giving a small punch on her naked shoulder, Newt continued. - They are the group of Gladers who spend their days out in the Maze, attempting to map it and find a way out.

- A maze?

- Not the time, yet.

- ARRRRGH!

- Back there, we have the Med-jacks. They use to take care of injuries of the baggers.

- Who's that asian guy near them? – For a moment, Newt hesitated. The look he gave her was full of questions. Intrigued, at least. She didn't ask by poorly, actually, seeing a different boy around was better than nothing. All of them looked exactly the same: dirty and hungry.

- Minho.

- HM… - Allie replied waiting to see if he gonna say something more, but, sure, he didn't.

- Hey Greenie. - Another voice came. The brunette turned his head to see where it came from, but, when she did, all he saw was a pair of green eyes staring at her shrewdly. – Name's Gally.

- Actually, I have a name. It's All-.

- Greenie.

- Oh, shut up, Newt. - Alicia didn't know how she was in the other life, however, was sure that even if she was a quiet and cute girl, would still try to jump on that stupid blond's neck and would rip his tonsils off in unusual ways.

- Come here and make me bloody shut up.

- C'mon guys, I'm still here. - Gally interfere, getting into between the two of them.

- In fact, it's good you're here. – Newt looked back at Alicia. - Gally here is the Keeper of the builders.

- What do you guys do? – The girl asked innocently.

- We build?! - The response of the robust boy with freckles on his face was enough to start a laugh more than high coming from the throat from the only guy who could make her feel even more humiliated: Newt, of course.

- I give up. Who else should I know?

- The Sloppers.

-You doesn't need to talk to her about this mob.

-Actually, Gally, I do.

- Do you mind to stop loving each other over there and explain to me the last of these ridiculous divisions so I can get out of here? - Now it was time for her to put herself between the boys. The arms outstretched reached their chests. From Gally's side, only the air could be touched, however, the fingers that were Newt's side reached the almost orange cotton shirt. The sound coming from there caused the tingling in her skin. It was his heart. Only briefly, their eyes met and the brunette was the first to look away.

- She just said "ridiculous divisions". – Asked Gally, ignoring her hand.

- You just said "get out of here"? - It was Newt's turn to ask. Both of them were staring at her with no smile on their faces. Alicia was stressed. A million questions wandered through her head and none of the guys there seemed to want to answer.

- Go away, Gally, I need to talk with this shuck-face here. - Shrugging, the other boy came out. The blonde took a deep breath, massaging his temples then. Then just sighed in long and boring way and looked at the new girl comprehensively. His expression softened and Allie realized that something good would come. – Here. - He passed to her one last nut he was still holding from the kitchen. Quickly, the girl threw it mouth inside. – We are stuck in here.

Again, Allie gasped.

- Let me finish. We are stuck here for now. The person who brought us here left us a way out. - And he nodded his head to the maze. – That's the shuck runner's job. To map the maze and find that bloody way.

- How long have you guys searched?

- Three bloody years.

- Any clue?

- None. - For the first time, Alicia felt sympathy for the glade boys. Now she would have to live with them and go through all the dramas about that place. Even apparently being weaker and not knowing much, Newt's sad expression, but hopeful, made her want to help them. It would be difficult, but the chestnut girl decided to try a shy and encouraging smile as she tapped lightly on the blonde's shoulder. He looked at her for a second and when he was about to give one of his naughty smiles back, a new voice came out at the place and broke the scene, making both move apart again.

- Allie?

- Alby? – Sure it was him. That amazing tone of dark skin should only be found in his body.

- Great, you do remember my name, that's a start. - He was being direct and not smiling, it seemed too seriously. Luckily for her, Newt realized that.

- Io, man. What's the bloody problem this time? – He asked to the leader.

- Sorry, Newt, we called a Gathering while you and the greenie were gone for the tour. I know you do trust me, so, I also know you will not be upset about it. - Despite the certainty with which the boy spoke, Newt said nothing to agree or deny. And what the hell was a "gathering"?

- So, Alby. You didn't answer my question.

- The guys think she's here for one reason: to procreate.

- I WHAT? - Allie shouted. She couldn't remember things, but she knew what THAT meant and knew VERY WELL.

- You gotta be kidding me, Alby. So she is here to be bloody banged by all of us shucks? - The angry side of Newt surprised her. His face was red and the ears seemed more arched and frightening, as an evil elf.

- Not everybody, just me, I'm the leader. – Of course. As if that would improve the situation, thought the girl. – There's no reasonable reason for they sending her just at the moment we had lost so many glader's lives. We need to learn how to live here from the start, and we'll going to make it with babies.

- Excuse-me? I'm sixteen, not going to have any babies. Go fuck yourself. - Without thinking, Alicia jumped into the neck of the leader and began delivering punches and kicks as he held on her on his shoulder and tried to keep her prey.

- Where are you taking her, Alby? - Newt asked, still reluctant by the ridiculous action of gladers.

- To my room. She's staying there from now on.

- I'm not going to stay ANYWHERE WITH YOU, you fucking damn perverted! - Every step he took, the brunette was desperately trying to get loose. The more she pulled away from Newt and the vision of his blond hair was blurred by tears of rage, the more she wanted to take her life trying to end Alby's.

Newt did nothing. Then she was charged to the room. Each glader in the way stifled giggles or hid their faces ashamed to face her. She hated them, she hated each one of them.

- Now, try to calm down. – Alby said. His dark eyes glowing under the soft light of a torch remembered what should be a wolf hunting in the darkness.

- Where I am? I demand to know! - The girl cowered in a corner of the hammock, however, her fear of his attitude and sitting in a totally strange place and alone with a giant man who wanted to have sex with her, made her lost herself even more. No one would touch her, nobody.

- You are inside the Homestead, that's where all of the guys live and sleep at night. Newt and I have separate bedrooms for being the firsts on the command line. The rest sleep in nets down there. You are going to sleep there with me, every night. I know it might take a time to you to get used to me, so, we're not going to do something until you get used to the Glade. I'll sleep with Newt in his bedroom for a month, after that, you're mine. Take some rest, greenie, now you're the first lady. - Ending that long speech, Alby walked out the door of the room and left her in the flickering light of the single torch lit on site.

Alicia fell on the thin blanket. Hot tears ran down her face and she even made an effort to clear them. Just buried the face in the makeshift pillow and sobbed there until the forces not returned to her anymore. She was arrested, exiled, trapped and would be forced to lie with a man she didn't know. The brunette hated the Glade. She hated herself.

Moments later, she fell asleep.
