I stared at my hands.

They've become a little more delicate. I can see my bones somewhat clearer. It's weird. I've been eating properly like usual.. I think? I don't know. What did I have for breakfast again? Lunch? Dinner? What time is it? This is the worst. Will my desperate call for a savior ever be able to reach anyone? I don't know. The time keeps on ticking. Everyone's doing their daily stuff while I'm.. caged on this hospital bed. Am I even alive?

Recently he didn't visit me as often. Perhaps he realized I was the wrong person.. Aaah.. it's so frustrating that I have no idea! But.. I did see him talk on the hallway with a girl. The girl had green hair and two pony tails. She looks like a model. Oh.. she's so pretty. I wish I was as pretty as her. I guess that is his girlfriend.. but.. why does she sometimes try to look at me? Her face expression.. Why would such a beautiful person cry? Was it because of him? Why am I feeling like this..?

I sighed as I turned my head towards the window, where the flowers were blooming as pretty as usual. But, even the beautiful view wasn't able to cheer me up.

Because..

I want to see him.

"EEH? What do you mean by that?"

Lavi gulped. "Well.. eh.. we thought Allen was a guy.. so.. the three jobs are.. erm.."

"NO WAY! I asked you for proper jobs! PROPER! UNISEX JOBS!", Lenalee slammed her fist on the table. She was furious and raging at the two boys. "Are you two THAT incapable...?!"

"Y-Yuu don'tcha think Lenalee is a bit scary?", Lavi whispered to Kanda, but immediately received a kick in the face by no other than Lenalee itself.

"Who are you calling Yuu again, hnn?", he grunted, trying to get out of this troublesome mess. He also didn't want a kick in the face, judging from Lavi's painful reaction.

"Chef.. Law enforcement.. POLITICS?! Hello?! THOSE ARE MALE-DOMINATED INDUSTRIES! PLUS, she was looking for something nearby, you guys are TRULY useless!"

I was sitting on a comfortable chair, watching the three discussing together. We were at the company 'C. Crown', which was supposedly one of the most popular companies nowadays. That was because C. Crown companies helped you with finding the right job, even if necessary offer a job at the company itself. I was betting that the owner of the complete 'C. Crown' business was super rich. The building we were in at this moment, had around a total of 25 floors. Even so, I refused to get up from the chair.

I played with some of my white hair bangs until Lavi approached me. He smiled awkwardly, sat down next to me and explained the situation. Behind Lavi, I could see Lenalee in the distance glaring daggers at Lavi.

"Err.. Allen-saann..?", Lavi started. He shaked a bit because he felt Lenalee's devilish stare piercing him. He had to apologize properly or it would mean the end for him.

"Hm?", I looked at him. I blinked once. "Is something the problem?"

"The thing is, we picked some jobs... but they weren't really suited for you. So here's the main point, Yuu-chan is working in a Japanese restaurant. He came up with the idea to let you show the restaurant and explain things about it, to see if ya want to work there as a waitress", Lavi told me with a big smile. He got a bit closer to me and whispered into my ear; "Psst.. but Yuu-chan is very shy and bad at socializing, so I had to go through all the trouble to tell you this, or they would kill me~."

I giggled. I nodded with a smile. "Mhm, sure thing. Thank you, Lavi. It's not a problem at all, those things happen.. I guess.."

"Che. Why do I have to do this troublesome thing?", Kanda asked Lenalee. He leaned against the wall with his arms crossed and eyes closed. "Couldn't you just put that woman with Lavi? Now I'm stuck with more trouble. Everything's so troublesome. It's not like I'm working there to invite others. Damn. Why did I agree to this shit in first place?"

Lenalee pinched Kanda's arm. "Mah, Kanda! Be a little more friendly to my best friend, OKAY?! In a moment, I want you to go and take her along to the restaurant. She actually doesn't like to be alone with people she doesn't know, but I hope you'll play the good guy for her.. else I won't spare you if I find out something happened to Allen~. It's also good for her to meet new people and make new friends though. Allen is a good woman with good looks. Don't you think?"

'Tsk.. like I want friends..', Kanda thought. Kanda grumbled. He was incredibly annoyed. He didn't want to show the fact Lenalee's pinch hurt his arm.

Lenalee was ready to kick Kanda after she saw his face expression. She glared at him, with a pissed off like smile. "DON'T YOU THIIINK?", she grabbed his head and made him look at her. "LOOK! Don't ignore me when I am talking to you!"

"Let the hell go of me!", Kanda shouted while struggling.

"Hey, no shouting", a person told them.

He was trying to look at her, despite of Lenalee's annoying attack. It was true, Kanda was surprised by her looks. He never expected a young girl that was so different from all the other girls these days. Who would've expected a girl with a male name? Or with such long, beautiful white hair? He didn't even have the slightest clue how a girl would have white, natural hair. He didn't even knew it was possible. What was up with the scar though?

Well, it just explained how dumb the samurai actually was.

I walked beside the Japanese boy. I was kind of embarrassed, because I hadn't been alone with a stranger for years. I wasn't sure what to say or do. He seemed like he would rage at me the very first second if I even tried to communicate. I sometimes glanced at him out of curiosity. He seemed to be in a foul mood. I was curious about his hair and his lifestyle since he carried a katana around.

Kanda stopped in his tracks. I immediately stopped aswell, and wondered why he stopped. He sighed.

"The whole damn time.. why the hell are you looking at me? It's not like I haven't noticed. It's creeping me out", Kanda told me, while his cold eyes met mine. I simply blinked, bowed and apologized. He was.. a bit scary. Well.. no. Not really scary. I wasn't really sure how to describe this. Somehow.. his eyes seemed lonely.

"I.. I'm sorry.. I won't do it again.. I was just.."

"Che. Truly troublesome..", Kanda snorted. "Raise your head, fool. Never asked for any apology." Kanda continued to walk again.

"Now hurry the hell up or I'll leave you behind", he growled.

"Y-Yes!", I quickly followed him with a smile, while staring at his back. I felt a bit more assured for some reason. He was kind of hard to figure out, and I bet that he had been through lots. He's not the only one. I was sure, he was actually a nice person. Perhaps, I could find out more about him.

I became convinced. With some hard work, some determination and no giving up, I could finally quit being such a burden to Lenalee, and everyone else. I could let my wounds scar, so I wouldn't have to be afraid.. that they would open again.. by the events on that night.
