Meanwhile Jack Frost flew all the way to the North Pole, using his powers to make the wind carry him faster than normal.

Now North wasn't the only one in the North Pole. The other Guardians happened to be there too, and for an important reason: what to give Jack for Christmas.

"Ugh, why is it so hard to think of a present for Frostbite?" Bunnymund scowled with annoyance. "I mean he's a winter spirit, just give him something relating to that."

"Bunny, this is Jack's first official Christmas as a Guardian it has to be extra special." Tooth pointed out.

Sandy nodded and then formed the image of a medal.

"Nah, Jack may have helped defeat Pitch but I don't think medal is the right present." North shook his head.

Sandy frowned, got rid of the medal image, and formed a question mark.

"Hm...maybe a decoration for his staff?" Tooth suggested.

"*Psst*." North's wife Natallii showed up with a platter of cookies. "I just received vord from the yetis that Jack is outside. Better put the discussion on hold for now-North! Hands off!"

North nearly snuck some cookies before Natallii caught him.

"Bah!" North scowled, annoyed that Natallii could always catch him in time.

"Come on you already had at least a dozen cookies earlier and you'll be getting a lot more in a few veeks." Natallii pointed out. "Try to save some room for Christmas Eve ja?"

"Okay fine..." North sighed. "We might as well see Jack anyway. Must be important reason why he came."

"I'm for that." Tooth grinned as Sandy nodded.

So they went outside to see Jack...and became extremely surprised. Jack was yelling at Man in Moon.

"Why did you make me immortal?" Jack yelled. "Why? Why couldn't you have just let me die? If you had I would've been reunited with Rosanna centuries ago!"

"Oh..." Tooth realized. "His sister. He must really be missing her now."

"Why didn't he miss her earlier?" Bunnymund asked.

"It takes a while for all the memories to return." Tooth explained. "So he didn't realize how much he cared about and missed Rosanna until now. Not sure what triggered it though..."

"Jack come now-" North said comfortingly.

"What comfort could you possibly give me?" Jack snapped.

The other Guardians were shocked. North even fell silent.

"You have no idea what it's like to die and forget someone you loved, only to remember her centuries later and end up feeling horrible for forgetting about her in the first place!" Jack continued. "Besides, Rosanna watched me die. She saw me die! I'm sure she blamed herself for my death! It probably ruined her life!"

Tooth suddenly looked sad. She actually did know what it was like to blame yourself for the death of a loved one, because thousands of years ago her parents sacrificed themselves to save her from a bunch of greedy humans. Tooth blamed herself for a long time, but then recovered and decided to make the most of her life so that their sacrifice wouldn't be in vain.

"Jack-" Tooth was about to tell him her past.

"Just leave me alone!" Jack actually tossed his staff towards them and ran away.

A.N. Tooth's backstory is canon, I found out about it through the Wiki.
