LAST TIME; ON DREAM BECAME REALITY:
"Where are you supposed to be?" That question lead to a sharp intake of breath and a muffled
"A long, LONG way away"
Tadashi's POV:
Ok, now I was confused. Really confused. Exactly how far are we talking about here? And if it is as far as she is suggesting, then how did she get here without knowing how she got here? He was confusing himself. Hiro obviously got over it quicker than he did, because just then he jumped in with
"Exactly how long we talking' 'bout here? I mean, unless you were drugged or whatever, you can't be that far away without you knowing roughly where you are, now can it?"
That was just a bit too far, I thought. I slapped him upside the head and was about to say more, but the girl against the wall started that not-quite-in-hysterics-but-getting-there kind of breathing again.
"Whoa, whoa, hey." Her deep brown eyes focused on me "You're all right. Everything is going to be fine." Her breathing slowed down a bit.
"Let's get her to a police station" I told my brother. "They'll be able to help her more than we will"
My POV:
When I heard the words 'police station' I inwardly screamed. Whenever I transported myself across in my dreams, it was always, always in order to help or interact with the characters in some way. Something in the back of my mind told me that this was no different. I had to stay with Tadashi and Hiro. Right then, my body did the most useful thing it has ever done for me in my entire life.
It fainted.
Hiro's POV:
I watched as Tadashi lunged to catch the fainting girl, probably stressed out beyond belief. I was too weirded out to come up with an appropriate response, so I fell back on humor.
"Well, it sure doesn't look like she wants to go anywhere at the minute" I gestured vaguely towards Dashi's arms, where the girl was currently lying. Tadashi sighed and set her down gently on the ground before going through her hoodie pockets. I clasped my hands around my own in a subconscious response to the violation of hoodie sacredness going on in front of me.
"What are you doing?" I asked, ever so slightly horrified. I may sound overdramatic right now, but you do not just go through someone's hoodie pockets. It is not done. Tadashi, having found nothing in there, started looking in the pockets of her jeans.
"I'm looking for some kind of ID card," he said. "If we know who she is, that'll make it easier to get her checked in to a hospital"
"You mean, the only way to get her checked into a hospital unless she is severely and obviously injured" Tadashi sighed.
"Yeah, that too"
Tadashi's POV
I took off my hat and ran my hands through my hair in frustration. The nameless girl in front of me needed help, and I couldn't give it to her. She needed the police, she needed the hospital, because I was pretty sure that someone had done this to her against her will, and who knows what injuries she may have had. There was just no safe place to take her. He heard a groan behind him.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but we can't just leave her here" Hiro said. I turned around and raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. Noticing my expression, he quickly finished his sentence. "So, because there's nowhere else, let's take her back to the café."
Aaaaaaand CUT! That was great people! I know that this chapter is a lot shorter than the other one, but it was really just a neat filler to realistically get me to the café. Because, let's be honest, as wonderful as the Hamada brothers are, they're not going to just go, 'oh hey! This girl we found on the street is totally cool and we trust her in our house!' Yeah, never happening. I would like to thank my 4 reviewers and people who actually favorite me as a writer, because it warmed my heart and pushed me to get this out as fast as I could, especially with having to dodge parents in the dead of the night to type this. And for those asking whether this is an OC or reader insert story, it is actually supposed to be me. I can understand the confusion, as there haven't been any names mentioned yet, but I am just trying to be as real as possible, which means that I haven't revealed my name yet. But you can totally put yourself in my place if you want. Thank you SO MUCH you wonderful, wonderful people, and keep reading!
